Does it need the engine rebuilt right away? Or are you thinking that 160k is high miles?

Man it's a 22re the sum bitch will run forever! Does it leak or burn oil bad or something? When I was a teenager I had a 86 with 280 on it I carried a case of oil in the back and drove the thing like I stole it! Drive that beast till it won't run and slap another one in it.

It would be a total waste of time rebuilding it of the engine is as clean as the rest...unless of course your going bigger. But a trade for your tacoma? Dont know if i would do that, i love tacos too much! All in all it looks like a beast, but a very nice one. If i had the money on hand i'd pay 5k for it!

LOL really? I've seen 22r's with 400k+ on them. Hell I've got 287k on my Tacoma. As for the rig itself it doesn't seem that bad a price, but if you've got plans to swap out other stuff anyways why not just start with a more base/regular 4runner? I see those body style 4runners for $1200-1500 usually.

X 2 on the high mileage it's not a problem stroll up pop the hood hopefully been setting cold check the oil. See if it's low or looks good condition. Crawl under it if itS dripping or wet anywhere under motor or transmission. If so crawl out wipe off tell him to have a good day and keep looking! Those motors last forever if oil and filter has been changed regularly hell lots of them last forever being treated like a dirty HO so if it's been as well taken care of as that truck it will do you good!

If you don't buy it someone else will, in a matter of days. That thing is clean and looks well kept. At least go look at it. Also, when that 160k become 260-360k, then start worrying about a rebuild (if it was well kept)

That is a good looking rig I was looking at it a few weeks ago on craigslist just thought he was asking way to much for it. I think it has been on there for like two months and hasn't moved yet. Doesn't seem like he is coming off the price any though.

Not sure what the market is like in Virginia for older Toyota's but judging by what's for sale here in Oregon I'd say he's asking waaay too much for it. For what he's asking you could buy a straight axle runner in the same condition.

Also if you look closely at one of the last few photos of the tailgate it looks like its got some body damage.
