What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Honestly, I bought it off ebay. I didn't like the bull bars with the "westin" and "aries" brand name stamped into the skid plate, so I bought a cheap one off ebay. But it has a 5 year warranty against rust, etc. The flowmaster exhaust I have on my Jeep Wrangler didn't even make it 5 years without rusting.

Anyway, I bought it for like $100, with $25 s/h. Easy to follow install directions, but overall, crazy easy to install though.

 

The seat belt chime started to annoy me, so I turned it off using the Cheap Mods thread. Thanks TW!

 

As mentioned, the weight is nearly identical.

The light buckets are not standard. Billy custom sized them to fit a pair of Rigid Dually floods.

I got them from TRDparts4U. The p/n is Pt904-35070-cc. Total including FedEx Ground Shipping was $62 and some change. IMO it was worth every penny.

 

Changed the rear diff oil @ 40k. Dark and the magnet had some junk on it. Replaced it with Mobil 1 75w90. Front diff and T/C next week!

 

Waxed with some

$19 collinite 845 insulator wax-easy to use carnauba+polymer wax sealant-high gloss shine+durable hydrophobic beading & long lasting paint protection for cars/boats/trucks/rvs & motorcycles (16 fl oz)

collinite 845, gave wife my birthday list of stuff I want for my truck. Rims are at the top. I just gave her the link of the site to get them

 

washed and waxed mine today.

Front drivers side wheel bearing crapped out (@ 81K). And thanks to the great DIY thread on here it saved me a butt load of cash. Thanks again Tacoma World.

Smoked a deer this morning on my way to go surf. I was doing about 55, and a little doe, <80 lbs. just hauled ass into my front right bumper.


The nasty part is, (this is where all you animal-lovers need to stop reading, or those with weak stomachs...)

After I smacked her head with the bumper...she blew her ass all over the side of my truck!!!




A whole breakfast load of fresh grass and deer ass on my door panel! And stuck in my sliders! NOOOO!! took me 45 minutes to wash off all the butt-guts.


So I'm going to try and pop out the dent... but this might be the motivation i needed to go purchase a new custom bumper

 

I almost shit myself reading this. Your misfortune has brought me great laughter Time for a new plate bumper. Insurance should cover most of that. BTW, who makes those sliders you got on der? **UPDATE** Nevermind. I see that they say BAMF on them
