    I was able to cut and test mount the flares on the drivers side today:

    First we went out for a bike ride & picnic so before we left I shot the flares with rustoleum bedliner spray:

    With the truck up on jack stands I took the angle grinder out and cut 2 1/4" around measuring from the inner lip of the fender.

    test fit the flare:

    used 1 1/4 hex bolts for now... Also beat back the pinch weld and cut the cab mount. I have the plates I just did not have time to figure out the welder yet...:eek:

    now that it's on the ground the 265/75 r16's look very small.

    One part that I mentioned earlier in the thread was the need to relocate the front bedside support bracket since it is attached to the fender exactly where I want to cut... here is said bracket:

    I took a bit off the side...

    Now mounted using the other existing hole in the fender closer to the front:

    here's how I set up the cuts... bending back the "tabs" of sheet metal:

    off the jack stands that 265 looks pretty tiny. :eek:
