Engage Takes 3rd in RECORD Ensenada to San Felipe 250 in a VW!!!

    Great weekend of Baja Racing, the Engage Off Road Class 11 car took 3rd place in the RECORD Ensenada to San Felipe Race. Co-Driver Francisco "Pancho" Andrade took the car from the Start at Ojos Negros to the mid way point @ Race mile 90 at Valley of Trinidad with no serious issues, at one point near race mile 70 "El Jamau" Pancho said "the dirt caught me put us on two wheels and the only Baja knows why we didnt roll!", once at the half way point Driver of Record Enrique Alejandro Gómez Salinas took control of the car for the stretch leading to San Felipe and had over 75 miles of San Felipe Whoops ahead of him. At one point Erique drove the car for over 20 miles with a front flat tire in the San Felipe Whoops to get to his Chase Team to swap the tire out. Hassim Mendez navigated from the Start all the way to the finish and did his best to keep the faster moving cars away from the class 11 but ar Race Mile 109 in the wash Hassim Said "A 5 car came out of no where and took us for a ride, no warning, just nerfed us and "helped" us get thru the sandy section for 200 yards, the fastest the 11 car has ever gone thru sand". The Class 11 took off the line at 9:59am and crossed the finish line at 4:33pm, it took 6 Hours and 34 minutes to race across the Baja Peninsula with a 1 hour Mandatory stop at Valley of Trinidad with an average speed of 34 miles per hour. Great Job Engage Off Road Racing and the Baja Team!!!
