    BC is as beautiful as any place in the world IMO. It is pretty tough to argue that.

    While the praries are pretty desolate. Saskatchewan gets much more exciting north of Saskatoon when you get up into Shield country. Manitoba has the same terrain running across it starting even further south. It continues in a southern direction along it's eartern side right into Minnesota and obviously also continues Eastward through Ontario and Quebec. The fresh water lakes, rivers and forests in this area are exceptional, even on a global scale. In fact the world's largest tract of untouched old-growth Boreal forest is this region. One could easily refer to this area as the great lungs of the planet. The amount of clean air and water produced out it is helping keep us all alive. It is f'n awesome for whitewater canoeing too...
