Leaf Springs shifting!

I have the Toytec Ultimate Lift Kit which includes the rear 2.5 inch add a leaf. Ever since i installed the kit i noticed that the rear add a leafs on both sides seem to shift. I think it is normal for the leaf springs to shift, but the add a leaf springs shift so much that the friction pads that are installed on them to prevent squeaking cant do their job. This causes an extreme squeak every time i hit a small bump or even start or stop. What i have been doing is every couple of days as i notice the squeak gets to much to handle, i will take a hammer and nock the add a leafs back in line with the others and they will be good to go and won't squeak for a couple of days.
My question is if anyone has had this issue before or has a solution. I know that toyota recommends U bolts be tightens to around 35lbs. I wonder if making them tighter will help keep my leaf springs in place! Any help would be great!

 

i may be wrong but i think toytec has a retainer clip for them

there are 2 threads referencing your KNOWN problems. Torque to 75# or so. And take 2 little pieces of flat iron and put bolts thru them to keep from shifting.

The manual says 37 lbs but that's a typo. The correct torque spec is 73 lbs. That will make a world of a difference. It did for me.

 

Whoa... didn't realize the manual had it listed that low! Retorque the u-bolts, that should help out quite a bit.
