Little F'king screw help.

How in the name of GOD do you get the last (2) little screws out of the headlight mount??? The ones where you have to be a contortionist to reach... I couldnt fit a small socket or tiny ass screw driver up in there.

 

1/4" drive socket...thats how i did mine....just reach ur arm up there and go at it little by little and eventually u can take the rest of it out with ur fingers

 

yeah i had tons of trouble but then i bought a 1\4 ratchet and was able to do it in less then 3 mins.

 

you can leave it out when u reinstall if you want.

 

yeah, it was a serious pain in the ass to get in there!! I thought my arm was gonna break a few times, but i used a small thin ratcheting wrench to do it recently, it is much longer than the 1/4 drive ratchet.

 

Come on now kids its so easy ive taken them out and replaced them 2 diff times now(including 30 mins ago
Stick your arm in their with a 10mm (1/4" pssh this is a metric truck) combo wrench just to crack it loose
then just loosen it with your hand or if you have 10mm short socket would be better specially when you tighten. then just hand tighten with the socket in hand (no wrench) and thats plenty tight and will be easier to get off the next time. you won't need a combo wrench to crack it
I use my right hand on both sides and im only 5' 11" so i don't have extremely long arms just average
but its not that bad once you get it the first time...
but you could always just take the fender well off from what ive seen down under their it looks like it would help alot

 

I haven't tried taking mine out but uhh.... dogbones anyone? Usually works for me.

Yup that's what i used, a 10mm ratcheting wrench (dogbone), takes about 5 mins to get both sides undone. My only problem was my skid plate gets in the way of where my arms go, but still was able to get them free.

 

HAHA suckers, Im 6'1 165 lean lbs, and my arms real skinny and double jointed, being able to bend your arm 3 inches back farther then your avergae joe leaves me lots of room to move my hand!

 

as big as my hands are, i was able to get it off in about 5 mins. if i can do it, you can.
