And a trip to alaska would be sick but 700 miles a day for 7 days!? Idk dude! Thats like say u averaged 65 mph, thats almost 11 hrs of just driving. Then u gotta stop and get gas twice a day and stop for food so throw another 2 hrs in there. Then if anything happens (which it will) like rush hour traffic or a wreck on the interstate or a highway is under construction or a snow storm comes or just came through. Ur lookin at countless more hours per day AND u still gotta sleep in there somewhere.

Just sayin . . . .

 

i have been told that a time or 2.

and not that bad. family lives close to buffalo NY. 650 miles 11.5(thats our average) and only have to stop for gas one time. thats doing like 75 and even 80MPh. speeds in KY and OH go up to 75MPh. i never sleep for that trip. and most time i don’t sleep the night before we leave. now snow and stuff may slow you down a little. maybe the x2 time you stop for gas you just stop and get sleep. if i had someone that could drive. i can sleep in the truck and they drive for a bit.

 

But ur talking about 1 650 mile trip! Goin to alaska would be 7 of those trips in concession! For example: 3 years ago me and my buddy drove to boston, it was 1300 miles and took us 22 hrs, we drove straight there with neither one of us sleeping. It actually wasnt that bad but we were both exhausted! We left wed night, got there thurs night, went to a Reveille concert friday night, then left sat morning to drive back and that was the longest 22 hrs of my life! A lot of coffee and red bull then we I got home I literally slept for about 18 hrs! It sucked!!!

 

Don't worry you don't want to know what is in Newport!!! I moved here for college lets just say thank god I'll be done with school next year.

 

lol. yeah it would be one big long trip. but imo well worth it.

Yuma, Az. Miss it everyday even after 2 years.

 

I will be vacationing in the Gatlinburg Tennessee area the week of August 6th. Wondering first if anyone from that area is planning an off road trip? Second, if you know of any light to moderate trails in the area? If I'm in a group I can afford to be a bit more aggressive and if not, then some light trail riding would be best. There just has to be some really nice trails in that area and I'm sure the locals know best where they are.

Woodland is beautiful. If you like scenic i would check out cades cove. It's not offroad but has some nice views and very close.

 

If you do find some offroading let me know. I only live an hour away and i'd like todo the same kind of trails as you

their are a few in that area. i don’t their is any trials around that area tho. i go up that way few times a year. mostly in winter for snowboarding. but you coming down 75 and than taking 640 west? if so bet you will pass right by me.
