Knowing them up there they probably went around it. I havn't talked to my brother today, but he is the mechanic so if anything was stuck or broken he would have been pulling it off the beach and fixing it today. I think you're safe.

 

So I think I'm giving up on trying to replace the bushings on my SPC LCA and just take them to a shop to have them replaced. I've been working a little at a time for a couple of weeks and have not had any luck removing the old bushings. I think I'm damaging the UCA more than anything.

I wanted to get some suggestions, I was thinking of maybe trying to take them to JC Motorsports in Galloway but have not ever been there. Does anyone know if they are any good? If not, could you guys recommend a shop to take the UCA to? I'm trying to stay in Cape May or Atlantic county.

My only other thought is if anyone wants to meet up for a mod day and give me a hand and I could help them out with anything. Would be nice to put faces to the TW names. Thanks

yea i hear its a real bitch to install the speedy seal.. need to fab up a special bracket just to mount it too...

You need to install bilsteins? front/rear/both? do you already have the front ones assembled?

 

nah not yet, im going to my local speed and truck accessory shop tomorrow to pick em up, i just ordered them today and they will be in tomorrow but i havent done anything yet, my gf's father has a spring compressor, so we should be in good shape when we go to do it im contemplating on painting the coil springs red while they are off lol

 

reusing the stock coils? what height are you setting them at?



This was when I had billy's set at 2.5 with stock coils and the wheeler's single add a leaf in the rear



and just for comparison.. heres my truck with a full 3" up front and 4" in the rear with a slightly more complicated suspension set up now

 

it looks sick man! i really like it! but no im not maxing the billys out at 2.5 inches, im putting it on the middle 1.75inch setting just for leveling purposes (and doing it right, not using a strut spacer) and a better ride than those black OEM shocks..they are ok.. but for the most part junk lol.. im not going too crazy with my truck lol, not like i have the money to anyway lol but they are designed to work with the stock springs, and since im not maxing them, they should be just fine.. i dont need new UCA's or a diff drop lol.. thankfully.. and on the mid 1.75 inch setting the front will only be a 1/4 inch lower than the rear, cause i got the stock ride height billy 5100's for the rear, and a 1/4 inch difference is pretty darn level to me lol xP! anything is better than what it is now lol btw did you trim your mudflaps?? ^ looks really good

Yea I trimmed enough to cut off the "4x4" on the rears and then made the front the same length. Now I don't even have fronts.

Diff drop kits are useless and dangerous. Even at 3" you shouldn't use them on these trucks. And uca's aren't needed for 5100s even at 2.5" but sounds like you've got it figured out.
