I imagine the just trade off so you end up with pretty much the same mpg either way. Extra wind resistance vs extra weight. I would just leave it on to protect anything in the bed from rain. It's been kind of raining here the last couple days.

And you could get the 14" ben to kinda get best of both

 

I can't think of many things more relaxing than sitting out on the back porch alone at 12:30 at night, while its still about 80 degrees out, listening to some goood mucic and smoking a cigar...pure personal alone chill time.

Oh yeah. So I went for a ride in the mountains on Friday for several hours. Some pics are on facebook. Anyway, I tried to do a 4 wheel burnout in gravel and it was a no go. haha. That just goes to show you how little launch there is from the automatic tranny. On the flip side my 0-60 is pretty much identical on pavement or gravel. haha. In 2wd with rear locked it can spin the rear wheels pretty good though.

since the last time I have been on here I have moved into my rental house in cheney.

For my truck the rack and pinion decided to start leaking all its fluid so I need to figure out if the lines went to shit or if I need to get a new R&P..

 

I heard that, sitting in the back yard myself smoking a Cuban and enjoying a beer after working a 12 hour day. Peaceful

My buddy and I went out exploring and camping around mt adams this past weekend. It was awesome but there was some controversy. We were trying to determine if we were actually in eastern wa or not.

I've always heard the cascades being the dividing line and sometimes folks will say the pacific crest trail is it. We were definitely east for a while, I know this because it was very dry and dusty. Out skirting the edge of the yakima indian res.

 

Sounds like a good trip! I've heard alot of arguments about where the line is and I have always been one to say the Pacific Crest Trail. I went up yesterday into the Stewart mountain range for a good day hike and it was awesome! by far the most beautiful country I have seen in a while 14 miles of hiking and boy your up there!

 

Wow, looks beautiful up there. I'm not familiar with that name, where is the Stewart range? It almost looks like the Enchantments in the distance in that 2nd pic.

It's the high country surrounding Mt Stewart, which is the tallest mountain looking north from Ellensburg. You can see them when you drive through they are the really rocky jagged looking mountains that are always covered in snow pretty much.

I happen to love the sound my dual offset 2.5 chery's put out. its not too loud, has a good deep tone so it doesnt sound like a rice grinder and most important the wife says it puts her in the mood to give road head.
