    Cloth Floor Mats
    Window Tint

I paid $31,300 OTD (including rebates) and got them down to a 2.4 interest rate.

Did my price haggling via email with various dealer's internet sales managers... did my interest rate haggling in the dealership once I found my best price.

So I had the dealer locate the right truck this time. MSRP is $34,540. It has every option including Entune and all weather mats. Being as the they had to find this truck for me am I screwed as far as haggling goes? This isn't a truck they had in the lot and it was found a few hundred miles away and have to DX it. I'm already pre-approved on the financing end of it and it is getting closer to the end of the month. Thanks

28,169 out the door. 2012 V6 SR5 extra value pkg, 4X4 DCSB white, window tint, day time running lights, tow pkg, upgraded wheels (TRD off road), all weather mats. I got them down to lower 27's before I said ok. MSRP was 31,500 and invoice was around the higher 29K area. Ordered the truck and four days later it was here with 4 miles on the clock.

When another dealer 2 hours away says they can't beat that, you know that your getting a good deal!

I'm really happy with the outcome and my wife loves her new Tacoma! Toyota of Charleston, SC is the place to go around here.

    Your Price..................................$31,995

I'll tell you this.... there is about 2K dollars of play below invoice. At least this is what I was told by a dealer in GA. He said I can take any Tacoma for 2K under invoice.

I called around to other dealerships in the area, some were 5+ hours away, and asked if they could beat the price. Not only did I say price but equiptment such as nerf bars, bed mat, all weather mats, tow pkg, ect.

When they asked how much I was quoted I would give them an unrealistic number with all this other crap added on. Once they quoted me their numbers I'd call to the next dealer and start all over.

DO NOT SETTLE ON ONE DEALER!!! SHOP AROUND!

definitely shop around, yes. So whatever their sticker price, minus ~2k should be a good deal OTD.. OTD meaning tax title license included.

Here is what i got so far. Tax rates are based off of a 9.25% rate. Change of address will bring it down to $7.75

    Dealer 1 (Miller):
2012 Toyota Tacoma 4WD Double Cab 6 Cylinder Auto Long Bed-MGM, TRD Sport, DTRL, Tow Package, Carpet floor/door sill, Bed mat, exhaust tip

    MSRP.........................................$33,2 59
    Your Price..................................$31,995
    Your OTD Price........................$35,046.17

    Dealer 2 (Longo):
2012 Toyota Tacoma 4WD Double Cab 6 Cylinder Auto Long Bed-Silver, TRD Sport, Tow Package

    MSRP.................$33,055
    Your Price...........$31,495
    Your OTD Price..............$34,644.50

    Dealer 3 (Cabe):
2012 Toyota Tacoma 4WD Double Cab 6 Cylinder Auto Long Bed-MGM, TRD Sport, DTRL, Tow Package, Carpet floor/door sill

    MSRP.....................$33,055
    Your USAA Price...............$31,194
    Your OTD Price.........$34,419.83

There are 3 more dealers I am waiting to hear from. I plan to ask them for $32k no higher than $33OTD. Let me know what you guys think. Any advice and what not are welcomed. All negotiations will be done via email.

For my appraisal, if the price is right to purchase from them, I will go to the dealer and hopefully get my truck appraised for a little higher than what they offer. Keeping in mind that I will not tell them I am interested in purchasing. I am just interested in selling my truck. Once I get a good offer, I'll request for a trade-in and bust out the quote I agreed on to purchase a new truck.

The area that you live in (ie. state) has a lot to do with the price of your truck. I live in Jersey and paid $20,300 for mine. $3,000 below sticker. Then went to CT on business and went online. The prices were about $1,000 less than what I paid. The stealership us 2 miles from my house and I got a good deal, I know people that go to Delaware to buy their cars because of price difference. I think it's the taxes. 7% in NJ and 2.5% in DE. That's a $800 difference on a $20,000 truck

Taxes are usually paid based on your state, even if you buy out of state. Otherwise everyone will come to South Carolina, sales tax is only $300 max. regardless how expensive the car is.
