Guys watch out if you live in the Prairieville louisiana area My truck was broken into this morning at my in laws house off of exit 173. They got me really good. New JVC Kameleon DVD/Multi media player, Ipod Touch, Radar Detector, Tom Tom, Oakely sunglasses and some other things. This was a quick smash and grab. Busted out my driverside window and were gone in a few minutes. Neighbor said she heard a loud junky car at 2:38 a.m. I hate thiefs you work fricken hard to have nice things and they just think they deserve it more than you. I tell you what it was a damn good thing I did not catch who ever did it.They got two other cars on the street left a print and blood in one of the other cars so the police do have a little bit to go off of. Anyways I will post pics later. If you live any where near this area take your shit in the house or someone else might own it. Man I really hate thiefs

    Thieves :p

Damn that blows shipmate, I'm sorry to hear it. I've been stolen from a couple times, once really hard, and the other time I felt like I had the idiots of thieves because they only took my CD's. Its very frustrating. Hopefully you have renters insurance with USAA, because if I'm not mistaken, they will cover something like that, NOT POSITIVE though. Good luck!

Well that does suck but get yourself an alarm. All that stuff you had in it is just too tempting for the scum out there.

Got the window fixed right away insurance covered that. I could not agree with you more on the alarm. Never thought I needed one well today changed my opinion. The guy across the street left his explorer unlocked and his 900.00 dollars set of golf clubs in the back they never touched anything. So who makes a good alarm? Viper? Not even sure where to start. I will find out more when the adjuster calls.

I feel for ya. I learned very quickly when I moved to Vancouver to never leave anything of value in the vehicle, and to leave nothing that may even appear to be valuable in sight. I miss the days when I could leave my phone or wallet in the car and not have to worry about it.

Viper, Python, Clifford.... all the same company, they pretty much have a monopoly on the market. Directed is the parent company. Just get something from them.

What also sucks is you'll be finding pieces of glass for as long as you own the truck.

    Tinted windows?

yeah past tense on the driverse side. I spent most of the day vaccuuming my truck out. The last thing I want is to have anybody ride with me and get cut by glass. The tint did keep alot of it stuck to the film. My seat covers protected the cloth seats. All in all I was fairly lucky that way.

Delmarva- that is a shifter out of the tundra they said it would not fit i said it would.

Police have some leads and insurance is replacing only the GPS and the Headunit. Ipod touch and other things are a complete wash.

With that being said who makes a good double din NAV/DVD setup. Not sure I like the pioneer and not sure about the kenwood, any input would be great.

The thing with kenwood is they run the garmin NAV so that aspect is as solid as it gets!
