So guys, how many compliments do you get in a day?

First off, I'm not conceited, I do love my truck though.... SO

How many of you (usually the lifted guys) get compliments almost every day on how good your truck looks. I can't go a single day without someone commenting "damn thats a nice truck!" Just this morning some lil scruffy older man saw a lady moving a shopping cart away from her car, there was also another next to my truck (I didn't really care because I was in the truck waiting for wifey) and he asked the lady "Why don't you move that other one? It'd be a shame, thats a damn nice truck!"

Two days ago someone left a note under my windshield wipers... "Nice Truck!"

This is just the most recent of all the probably hundreds of compliments I've gotten from day one.

Its almost ridiculous, I've never had this much attention LOL! I surely hope I'm not the only one

 

Thats why we bought the truck..we know they look sick..and others drool

 

LoL! very true! But there soo many tacomas on the road today, you have to do something major to set yourself apart!

 

Not many. This is Nascar country, aka domestics. The good thing is, with so many POS trucks running around here, I know what I'm driving will still be on the road with the original parts at 100K miles. Can't say the same for neighbors Dodge Ram (on his 3rd trans, less than 70K miles on the truck).

 

i think you got the red and black thing going..i think it would look even better if you painted the chrome on the rim RED..i think that would look so sick

my buddies all compliment my truck thats about it. i don't have too much done to it yet so maybe i'll get more compliments after my lift and all.

I'm sure you will, the same day I got my lift and tires installed, most of the guys at the tire shop were jealous. It made such a difference in the stance.

 

I get quite a few compliments. Mainly on my bumper though.

 

Yeah that makes a big difference, the lift and also wheels. I'll be there eventually, no rush. A 6 month old does wonders to your bank account...

 

When I put my new headlights in. Almost every day I got. Now... not so much
But I will get my new grill and lift one day and they will all be envious!!!

"Man those are wicked headlights"
"Nice Lights"
"Man you got a nice truck"

i dunno why they said man so much...

 

I was sitting at a stop light one day and noticed the guy next to me looking over my truck (08 DC 4x4 Sport Speedway Blue).

When he saw me looking at him, he smiled and said, "that's the bluest truck I've ever seen".

I smiled and said "thanks".

 

None YET hahaha

 

I get compliments quite often on my truck but half of those are on the color.

The Speedway Really Grabs The Eye. I never see another any vehicle around here with this color. So the Daily Compliments are accepted. BUT, on the flipside I live in the BIG 3 country so i get a lot of "trying to get people laid off" or " way to support the country". Yeah well...

Surprisingly I dont get to many compliments for the amount of show put into my truck, then again i do live in scottsdale.

 

I average about two or three per day.

 

I got a lot when I first put my wheels on. Then a lot more when I put the grill in. I still get a few like "Wow your truck is intimidating when it's behind you." I had one guy in an F-150 turn completely around at a redlight looking at it. After these tires wear out I'm wantin to lift it about 3 inches and get bigger tires. The compliments will probably start comin again after that.
