I dont have headlight covers but ok. Get gears and you'll can't believe you ever lived without them. It's the best thing I did to my truck. I was going up the mountains in Tahoe and passing other cars like crazy. If I had stock gears, I would be 2nd gear pinned and pissed off.

    20% is a fair amount.

Assuming you're on 33" tires and stock gears, you go from 10% "under geared" to 10% over geared.

It's not like kicking it into low range on the transfer case or anything. But you can feel the difference on the road.

yah, wrapped in 3D vinyl, has this funky sheen to it. Coast me 1/4 what they wanted just to paint the fenders. I like it

i got a roll of it off Ebay for about $250 and started to try and do it myself, after F'in up 2 or 3 sheets i found a shop to do it for me for another $300. The vinyl cleans off real easy and likes the clear coat spray at the coin-op car wash.

looks better up close, the 3d texture will screw with your depth perseption. Do a Google image search, they wrap Ferraris with this stuff.

There's your answer. Also, top speed with 4.10s and 33s was about 75 mph. With 4.88s the governor tops the speed out around 95. I was in a strong head-wind once with stock gears and I couldn't get the truck to go 65mph - so frustrating, but gears made all the difference in the world.

    I dont have those

    22RE for the motherfucking win

That engine was bulletproof enough to take anything the owner could dish out and there's STILL a bajillion of them on the road.

The current 2.7 is not the same as the 1st Gen 2.7, and the current 2.7 VVTi has not been around long enough to say it's the best.

ya I meant in 5th gear. It will run between $700-$900 per axle depending on where you go. I am a true believer in 4.88s with 33s on these trucks and I will preach it 'til the end!

You can also go 4.56 if you do mostly highway driving and like driving over 75mph, but I wouldn't.

If I keep it at 72mph I'm at about 2800 RPM and get 20mpg. Anything over 3K RPM (75mph) and mpgs really drop.

I think he may be commenting on my truck when you quoted the pictures of my truck and asked if I was getting a high clearance rear bumper...

Did you go back to the link? I know my memphis components.

First off what do you do for a living because I want to make that kind of coin?!?!?!?! Secondly, did you not just say the 2tr was perfect for your truck? Thirdly, just do yourself a favor and buy a tundra, tapping wire looms, massaging firewalls, redoing motor and trans mounts, and trying to up the suspension to handle the new weight aint gonna be worth it in the end. Fourthly, why have you not geared? I would of geared on 35's with the 4.0. Fifthly if you want extra boom, keep the low end torque of the 2tr and slap on the URD S/C. Plenty of power with a regear to skoot your rig. You seem to have the money layin around to afford it. Shit a tundra with harness and trans will set you back an easy 2500-3k depending on condition.

Should of been the first thing you did once you put on the 33's

Weight ratios will have you thinking otherwise when you head to mob the dez.

The diesel was even more brilliant then the 22re. Shit any of the 20-22R, RE, and RET motors were damn near indestructible. I ran mine without a lower radiator hose for 4 miles before she finally died. Only warped it 5k over. Shaved the head got new gaskets and had her back and up within a weekend. BTW easiest motor to learn how to rebuild.
