Hit & Run - Irresposible People

So I was out with my family in the Tacoma and parked in a car park. When I got home, I noticed This!


Someone had scraped and bent the driver's side corner of my rear bumper, and did not have the decency to leave a note to own up to it! Although it is hard to see in the picture, it is bent in.

 

My Wife's CRV got a healthy parking lit gash on her pass door, and MY old 98' Mazda had a wole bedside taken out once..... I feel your pain!

 

That sucks big time - people need to be responsible for their actions.




Time for a plate bumper.

 

AVID REAR BUMPER GUARD .... would have saved it . Sux to hear though ....

 

Did you check to see if the car park has video surveillance????.......maybe you could look at the tapes.

 

^^ Checking for security camera video recordings is a good idea, although I didn't notice any cameras there. I think I'll call the place and check it out.

 

This actuall made me think about a plate bumper.

 

It has happened to my DC as well. My oem chrome bumper has a good few dents from some jackass backing into it and just leaving. It's been that way for years now, what can you do.

Oh, they're not irresponsible. They're definitely responsible. Why do you think they got the fuck out of there?

 

I made the police report, and have an appointment with the insurance adjuster in two and a half weeks. One paint shop already put it at over $500.

Someone also did that to my bumper, but mine is chrome. It's the only damage on my truck and I didn't cause it!

 

It just makes me mad, and I don't look forward to the time wasted in running around to make police report, insurance claims, and a trip to the bodyshop. At first, I thought it wasn't that bad, but then I noticed the bumper is bent in and it hit and scraped up the corner of the box behind it.

 

Love it!

 

My wife's van collects them. The last one it looks like they hit the corner of her bumper so hard, the crumpled the rear quarter panel. There aren't any scratches, but a huge dent with a crease. It keeps happening to her at work. People suck.
