Wrong! That's the banks fault. they could/can still deny people. All Clinton did was make it so you didn't need a huge down payment. FHA loans and such.
Banks still overextended because the bush admin, Made changes to bankruptcy laws. Which made it so you still had to pay off debt when you filled. Therefore banks started giving mortgages for more than houses were worth thinking that no matter what they would get paid. And add nice fee's to it as well.
Hell might as well blame Reagen for starting deregulation..

so the banks couldn't deny ALL people - they still had to fund loans to people who couldn't afford them.

CRA actually started with Carter -- Clinton just upped the percentage of funded loans amount...

So yes... it was Clinton

 

maybe thats the way they do it up there, here banks or brokers didnt deny many people. my sister is a teacher and her husband is a cop earning no more then 80k per year. tell me why they get approved for a house that cost $830k with 35k to put down

 

Yeah and most of the people being foreclosed aren't low income....
It's the stupid overextended middle class retards who thought gimmick mortgages were the way to go..
And most the foreclosures i see aren't the $100,000-$150,000 house low income people buy... It's those ridiculous $250,000- whatever stupid amount people though they could pay for..
