    I was on the phone with Kevin last night discussing this exact thing. Because I have the expo pack, I was wondering if there was a way to get the flip without gaining any lift. Then he told me what Johns measurements were :facepalm:

    No more axle wrap baby! I think u-bolt flip kits make these trucks more prone to wrapping. Even with Dakars/
    $82 D29XL Leaf Spring
    D29XL I still had a little bit of clunk when braking to a stop. Not any more. This thing is a fucking monster, brackets made of 3/8" plate steel, 1/4" wall tubing for the bar, grade 8 hardware all around, and of course, fitted/trimmed/welded by you know who...

    I have some advice for new Taco owners seeking to seriously use their truck...just cut your stock exhaust off at the cats when you get the truck. You're going to replace it all anyway. This is exhaust reroute #2, muffler back.

    Before, I had already rerouted for the skid plates, now the TRD muffler was in the way of the trac bar articulating properly with the axle. It had to go. My local guys popped in a glass-pack to give me tons of clearance without adding any noise.

    Also, the trac bar kind of acts like a slider for the driveshaft, since it's so tough [​IMG]

    Oh yeah....and it's time to get those damn Dakars settling some so the truck isn't like 26.5" hub to fender in the rear...I have 200lbs constant with the rack, jack, spare tire, bedmat, bumper...another 200 or so should do it for a few weeks...

    What kind of bed bars / rack set up is that? Looks really nice on there, doesnt sit too high and allows you to use the bed still. Sweet.

    I'm not sure on the history of the bed rack. I bought it from jhodge83. He bought it from some other member on here, I forget who. I believe that original member made the bed bars, and Hodge ordered the rack off e-bay...

    I'll be having a truss welded to the rear of the diff to protect the weak spot. The underside doesn't need any help.

    Diff diapers decrease clearance and that's about it IMO.

    Correct. RuffStuff base, Kevin built the bar and trimmed the ruffstuff brackets to perfect fitment to the 2gen Taco since the RuffStuff kit is "universal" (as long as you have a welder and grinder/plasma cutter :laugh:)

    The guy at the exhaust shop asked me what all I had done to the truck so far. I was like "Uh....do you have internet access? I can't remember it all."

    Never fucking ends man...
