Yeah the article said he wanted to go farther but they stopped him. He never even took a test run that morning just fired up the bike and hit it. This guy is way beyond balls of steel lol

That is bad ass! I would have loved to go to Beaumont when I was in my crazy days. I still ride fairly hard but not like I used to, I think a lot of us truck guys are old washed up mx'ers :)

    Bitchin pic!!
I totally agree, I think a lot of us on here are old moto-racers. Now Im in my 30's and I cant do huge shit no more. Like you, I just ride for fun. But I have a major off-road racing addiction now

I was thinking about it the other day and its kind of whole new world but the same style of stuff. Its still desert but like on my dirt bike I can go wide open pretty much anywhere and it doesnt scare me anymore because I know what me and the bike can do. Driving a truck through the desert at speed is all new to me and kind of like starting over, plus your seat belted in :D

Forgot about this thread. I recently picked up a 2006 KX250 that had maybe 5 or 10 hours on it. I put more wear on the clutch cover on my first ride than there was on it when I bought it.

I do miss that power of my KTM though, it was like a tractor. I have a FWW on the way for this one to try and get it there. Maybe an FMF gnarly pipe if it still isn't great.

I've only owned 4 strokes so it's hard to compare for me. I have a '11 KX250F and just adding the mega-bomb made a good bit of difference. I know, not the same. But still, a decent pipe can make a difference.

The KTM is a hoot to ride though.
