Hi Im new to tacomaworld wasnt sure how to start but I was wondering if anybody had tried the new icon vs series 2.5 remote resi's. I was wondering how they stack up against the 2.0's as I just bought ome dakar leaf pack so Im looking for a good shock for the rear . In the future Im also going to get air lifts air springs and air controller 2 system.

Ya they sure are nice but a bit too costly for my budget at the moment. Just curious if anybody has tried them out and if its worth my time saving up or will the 2.0's be good enough. and also where can i find rebuild kits for the icons?

2.0 has less oil and as such is more susceptible to shock fade as the oil heats up regardless of what brand you buy.
Generally speaking, if you plan on womping on the truck, just get the 2.5's to start with. If it's just a DD street queen with camping once a year, the 2.0's will do just fine.

Thanks for the info! mostly it will be my dd, but I try to get out to mountains a couple times a month carrying about 200 lbs of gear. Does the 2.5's also have greater dampening force and rebound than the 2.0's? will it cause the ride to be uncomfortable when unloaded or is it valved for this. I do a bit of long distance driving through the rockies so i dont want too harsh of a ride either.

Presumably Icon is like every other major shock company out there and you can get them valved however you want. You can increase or decrease compression and rebound by changing out the valve shims. Makes no difference if they are 2" bodies or 4" bodies.
