Why isnt the bed metal im afraid of dropping something and cracking the bed, or ratcheting something down and it breaking or ripping the tie down out of the bed.

That's not exactly "plastic", it's one less thing to rust, is a big selling point, and now after nearly 8 years, has a VERY solid track record. The only confirmed breakage was from people in extremely cold climates who were either intentionally trying to damage the bed, or subjecting it to extreme use that would have seriously damaged a steel bed.

    - Not being able to see the JBL radio screen with my polarized glasses on.

    - The outside temperature gauge is slow to adjust and inaccurate.

    - No moving back and forth to a different MP3 folder on a CD from the steering controls.

    - No way to install a brake controller out of view. Why not include one with the towing package.

    - should have 12V and 120V AC plugs in the front and rear of the cab

On the other hand, there are many more positives than negatives. I would purchase again.

I cant believe how soft the paint is. I have numerous chips down to the primer from a mere 100 offroad miles. I also dislike how the door seals always seem to slightly crack open. Overall I love my taco and wouldnt own anthing else.

-No aux input on mine (yet!)
-Inexplicably didn't come w/D-rings at front of bed
    -Kinda flimsy-feeling tailgate
-The first tank of gas I bought after having an assortment of 4-cyl Civics for a decade+ prior

The ticking was worrisome (I've had Hondas forever, none ticked) but after reading on here, I find it sort of endearing or at least tolerable.

only thing that annoys me is the slight pull to the left. i've read it's b/c of the gas tank, battery (and, of course, the driver), being on left side.

Weak ass clutch in my 2010 4x4 2.7 5 speed.
    Blind spot in the back.
Poor gas mileage for a 4 cylinder. Come on 18 is the best anywhere.

See the link in my sig.

    Mid 20s are not difficult.

Granted, 4x4 hurts, but driving style hurts more.

The fact that all the plastic in the cab scratches so damn easily.
