The original design of my tube bed was SUPPOSE to be like this. THIS is how I wanted it, but that ain't no where near where Josh built it...

Well the compound diamond plate thing wasn't really my concern. I was talking about the tube design mostly. I would of followed the diamond plate scheme a little bit... but that that crazy!

New axles... seals.. bearings.. ordered... Correctly assembled this time. rear differential torn apart and cleaned up. Found out my backlash was like .050.. We set it back down to the normal tight setting for an offroad truck. I think somewhere around .005. lol

.050!??!! Holy crap, dude!!!!!!!! lol I'm surprised the ring and pinion head didn't go before the axle!! That's some major deflection... And isn't .005 is a bit tight for the 9"? I think you're supposed to shoot for like .007 - .010".... but tighter is better than looser, right?!?!

My vote goes for a flatbed with a conventional rollbar.

That bed cage is sick, and that's what was suppose to be made... but instead...

Yes it is suppose to be .007-.010, but tighter tolerances on off roading are better. There was so much slop in the pinion I almost want to pull my front and have it redone. Only cost me $50 and 3 cans of brake clean

No flat bed, truck is to long for it and makes it look silly... What do you mean by roll bar? Those stupid ones that chevies use?

Yeah.. lol. If I could only design the one I originally opted for

This is a similar bed cage that I want.

I told you to check out Jonathons old setup! He no longer has that truck but I can tell you first hand it was fun to drive! Anyone who wants to see more of it search 01Tundra on Pirate of TTORA. His truck was the inspiration for my entire build. He even had a fridge too

But seriously...fiberglass sides, tube structure, dimple die plate inner FTMFW! :D

Yeah... I just feel like the fiberglass will get DESTROYED, after thinking about it.. Especially being wider :(

Thats what the bed slider is for. Plus fiberglass is more resilient than you think and some companies are already making poly front fenders...you can drive over them and they pop right back.

Plus you dont have to get the 7" flare ones...get 4" flare and your tire will still be way outside the fender

Shit that would glass back together real easy like. Plus for erics truck you could "comp" cut the frender straight forward from the wheel well anyway

    Psh, it's sexy looking

I just want a bed, run some tubes through the side, remove my bed cage. Bob the bed and dovetail it. Stuff my spare tire (currently invisibly) and put some shit back there. I don't carry much. I trailer it, so I don't need space :D
