That wouldn't happen to be a 71 from West TN would it ? I sold mine to a guy that resold it 1900cc with twin carbs.

Towed this 600 miles from NC to PA. The brake was hung up for 150 miles! Once i freed it up it towed just fine even through the mountains in PA.

I towed a 3000# 6x12 uhaul across the PA Turnpike and once I got into W. PA I had to drop it into 3rd to hold 50-55 on those inclines. I think the drag of the trailer had a lot to do with it but I did get 17-18 mpg towing from NJ to IL.

    Hello,
I just got my truck a couple days ago. This is my first truck and I need to use it to tow a 5x8 uhaul (900lbs empty, max load of 1,800lbs) from Philly to Dallas. Based on these pics that should not be a problem, correct?
Is my stock setup okay, or do I need any suspension modifications? I've also never had to tow anything so if you have any tips, please let me know. For example, what kind of cargo straps do you suggest? And is it a bad idea to have this trailer loaded in addition to payload in the back of the truck?
    I have a 2009 2.7 Regular Cab manual 4x4 btw.

This seems like a good idea. The back end seems super soft. Sorry for the noob questions (this is my first truck, been a subaru and old school bimmer guy my whole life till now), but do I have rear TSB springs? Does anyone have any idea where the best place to get something like this installed in the Philadelphia area? I don't have the time or tools right now, as I am planning a big move.

Not a camper, but similar, it's an enclosed motorcycle trailer.

When we weighed it, it came out to 2580lbs. Towed just fine, but you def knew that beast was back there! But, I never had to drop it any lower than 3rd on grades. This 2.7 is a very strong 4 banger, compared to the old ones from back in the day anyway. Think the dual VVT-i is why.

    2002 4x4Ext Cab, 2.7L/5sp man.
2009 Chalet Arrowhead. I limit the gross of the trailer to about 2200lb. Tows well, flatlands 5 gear 20mpg+/-, steeper hills will take me down to 45 in 3rd.
    VERY pleased with its towability.
