    Hello,

I assume you are running a custom long travel kit and or a long travel kit that uses a 10" travel shock? As far as spring rates most of the 6"
top coils are a 500lb, not a 550lb which the top coil will not effect the the rate too much as the truck will always ride on the lower 16"
coil. Unless the shocks are mounted at an angle over 20 degrees or so most people use a 500lb lower coil for a 4cyl and a 600lb coil for a V6.
Again if the shock is mounted at a pretty good angle that will effect the spring rate and you will need to go higher than a 500lb. As far as cost Radflo will probably be the cheapest in terms of Price for what we carry with king just a few $$ more. We would suggest either the King, Fox, or Radflo and I will list the prices below. All prices include a dual rate spring set up with a 6" and 16" coil (all rates are the same cost in those lengths):

King 2.5" x 10" travel coil over hose remote: $609.24 each

Fox 2.5" x 10" travel coil over hose remote: $688.26 each

Radflo 2.5" x 10" travel coil over hose remote: $607.36 each

    Thank you,
    Neil

dont you guys think a 500top and a 500 bottom wont be enough to hold the weight of my truck?

4x4, I4, ext cab, caged front-back, this truck gets 99% desert and gets driven hard, when it gets driven...

i aint no LT genius but say u need 1000lbs overall so wouldnt u run a soft spring like 300lb and then like a 700lb spring? that way the 300 absorbs all the small stuff and then when u hit something bigger the 700 would help out alot.. thats how all my buddies are set-up and over at HDL fab, jake always sets them up like that.. idk i might be wrong:confused:! but just throwin out there wat i know:thumbsup:

Its much more complicated than that, a 300# and 700# spring do not make 1000#'s. With 300# and 700# as an example your primary would be at 210#'s, then once the 300# spring bottoms out you would go to 700#'s

i made sure to tell them it was caged front-back so its heavy.

its not just going off of other peoples numbers either, you got shock angles, and you also got the kits and where the shock bolts too, like beams or IFS ETC.
500 over 500 seems way too low. the top spring would be bottomed out at ride height or am i wrong?
    And thisVV
