overland expo with as much reliability as possible.

 

On an off-road truck.... supercharger hands down. Reasons:
- reliability vs turbo
- dust (will eat a turbo alive if it breaks through the filter)
- instant power (as stated before) and generally tuned toward lower RPM range for gains

Pro's of a turbo:
- Hella more efficient (easier gains vs what it takes to generate them)
- lots of options out there, smaller turbos to reduce lag time, bigger turbos for hella insane amounts of power pending the motor will take the abuse


If you can't decide you could always twin-charge (both sc and turbo)


edit: Basically... on a car or street truck I'd run a turbo setup. Off-road truck... supercharger.

Oh one major drawback of a turbo... massive amounts of heat (which will wear down components faster, eat the bearings in the turbo faster... typically most turbos last about 60k before needing a rebuild/replacement)

 

You know quite a bit about those turbos and s/c jake

 

You tend to have to learn when you've had a Twin Turbo 3000GT

 

I'm more if a fan of sc myself. I ran one one my CTS. I can definitely see one in the Tacos future.

Sweet man.. I'll be done with dinner around 7:30.. I might be playing pool tonight at my house. Need to brush up for the party so my dad doesn't kick the ever living shit out of me at pool.

I know tomorrow I'm going to show Garrett how to install a sub into this truck. That will be fun.


Also if anyone is interested my Wife is throwing a Wii "Just Dance" Party Saturday. So beer, pool table, just dance and people making total asses out of themselves. If you are interested hit me up for directions. It will be a small party, 15-20 people max.

My cel came on after cleaning the throttle body. Truck runs great now. Do I just need to reset the computadora?

Fixed. Now it's shifting a little different but I think that'll fix itself.

 

this guy just found some coilovers..... maybe.. just maybe. if they are what i need, i will be buying them. i have da money in the bank.

Hey josh, did you use throttle body cleaner? I cleaned mine about a month ago with tb cleaner.. it actually feels like I lost some mpgs.. any input?

 

Oh, also.. thinkin of goin to butcher or sedona tomorrow.. just to chill in the water.. anybody got any ideas or plans?
