Yuck. I would have went with the Fronteir if I lived there...unless that's uglier too.

Nope, they are made in right or left side drive. Mexican Toyota dealerships sell both, and both are left hand drive.

I have seen several of them coming from Mexico, and they a narrower than the actual US or MX Tacoma, looks fancy. I personally do not like them.

None currently, but I would like a better sounding exhaust and perhaps a cold air pack and some color coded step bars
OK you guys have gone to far, comparing the Aussie HiLux to Toyota F1 wagon. Shame on you the HiLux is faster than the F1 car. In reality, Toyota spent a billion dollars over the past few years trying to build a competitive F1 and blew millions by hiring Ralf Schumacher to be one of the pilots. The Toyota F1 has always had good power but very poor aero design, year after year, after year.
There budget is about 250million per year. Lets hope they do better in the future. There should be no excuse for being at or near the bottom year after year.

Jeff, 06,V6, SR5, 6spd formula one car nut.

I've seen lots of Hilux's in Central America. There are some pretty cool looking ones. Plus the solid front axle, and diesel option is sweet too. I wish I could have one shipped up here to the US. In Guatemala they are probably the most popular truck. Down there you can go all day without seeing a Ford or Chevy. Mostly Toyotas and Nissans. They use their trucks hard too.

Hey pb2, great job on your truck, I am not into all of that but as a former bodyman, I can see the great effort and results from your work. Plus you have a truck just like the way you want it. Well done.
By chance have you gained any mpg with the headers and free flow muffler?

Way back when in the late '70's early 80's all Toyota trucks were Hilux's....I think...someone correct me if I'm wrong
