running fingerprints thru I-AFIS on average takes less than 30 minutes to come back
with your whole life history. And Colorado being one of the 4 states that require you being figerprinted before getting your driver license.....I just thought it was sad for the father
of one of the victims to hold up a flyer with the information begging someone for answers
    20 something hours later.

I agree, with today’s technology it should be quicker but technology is also your enemy it makes mistakes why because it is programmed by humans who make mistakes. I am not sure how long it took to search for the reported bombs or of CO Leo's procedures. If there is a credible threat of a bomb in a building and yes this would have qualified as a credible threat. The EOD / Bomb teams would have had control of the scene till they cleared the building. I do not know how long this took. I don't work there nor know how long it took to get the dogs and other equipment to the location. One of the other searches would have been for people hiding still i.e. not knowing the event was over. Take my word for it if you like or don't the notifications were done as fast as possible. Again, this is where technology is good and bad take a look at MySpace or facebook. I would bet you will find someone in that theater or area was taking pictures and posting them. I search for people and things as part of my job in buildings, woodlands, marshes etc unfortunately we do not work as fast as CSI or Law and Order I wish we could. With something like this it would have been triage find the wounded and the living clear the building then ID, verify find and notify. If your aware of AFIS and such you know it does screw up even when you are printing a live person standing there, printing a body and then scanning them in comparison etc take time.

I've had a CO drivers license since I was 18...I didn't have to be fingerprinted, and I've never heard of this requirement either.

When you have 72-73 people to run through a database, things kinda slow down.

Just read Christian Bale visited the victims in the hospital on his own, not to represent WB, entered via ambuliance. Good on him, hopefully it will bring a small smile to their faces.

I don't get how people are this messed up. I mean you think you are going to watch a movie and this happens. I feel bad for those that were involved in this tragic event.

Look at the way he was acting in court? I mean what's up with that?

They always want to blame guns and all that, but the gun didn't do it, that insane idiot did. It's like a post on facebook I saw they want more gun laws, but what criminal obeys the law???

I think he's trying to act "crazy" so instead of spending his life in prison (or getting the death penalty), he'll spend the rest of his life in a psychiatric ward. I'm not buying it.

I agree...the guy should be put out of the tax payers misery/pockets quickly. "Crazy" yes, but he apparently had the plan in motion which means pre-meditated. He should be fried. IMO. Sorry if I offend the none death penalty folks, but all tax payers end up footing the bill for people like this. Save the money we would spend on his decades in prison and give it to the victims or their families to go to college, pay off a house...whatever it is.

I think Christian Bale did the stand up thing and visit these victims. I don't see any other reason than to support and be moved by what transpired by this bozo who shot and killed a lot of people. IMO Christian Bale is a stand up guy..no entourage of people, just him and his wife showed up!

I agree I believe he's faking it. Didn't they say he was studying something like neuroscience something?? I don't remember the exact name of it. I hope they don't start believing that act he is putting on.

The picture on the left is low quality on stretched. It was probably used for a student ID card. I know my student ID card looks nothing like me.

    Too many to list now.
Lighting is significantly different as well, you can still see the definition of the bridge in both but the light casts shadows to make it look wider in the left image adding to the stretched out look.
