Paid $31.6k (before taxes/fees). No trade-in. All cash deal. Invoice was $32.8k I believe. Sticker was $35,155.

OP: Thanks for this entertaining thread though.

Not for anything, but nobody is really interested in what you paid. Seriously. Post some pictures of your truck and you'll get a lot of positive responses.

Ok, now that we have some comparable facts, it still confirms to all of us that you paid too much. Not that much over, maybe paid $2k too much. It's ok OP, the deal is done, and nothing can change that. You still have a badass Taco like the rest of us.

I know you have a TRD Sport 4x4, which I assume is a short bed. My Taco is not TRD or 4x4, but I do have a long bed, and my OTD price before any fees/licence/tax was $27k. I bought my 2011 exactly a year ago. They wanted $32k for it, but wouldn't budge past $27k, so that is what I paid soley for the truck. True OTD after all fees and stuff was $29.7k.

Buying used is typically the case, but not with Tacomas. You can buy a 2010 DCSB OR 4x4 auto for 28-29k or you can buy a new one for 30. doesnt make much sense to buy used on these. :playball:

hmm read the entire thread unfortunately, to sum up, OP paid X amount, wants everyone to say it's a good deal, when not, gets volatile, wants proof, people get defensive, all in all a waste of time stroking some penises.

I personally wouldnt say it was an awesome deal, average deal for anyone that knows how to negotiate, given there's few and lacking in that department. Yes you could have gotten better, but so what? [bulk of this thread]

This guy's acting like it's the deal of the century, even the thread title is in all caps. haha

You're getting a lot of shit on here because you're acting like an asshole about it. Change your attitude and maybe you would get some respect. Some of these guys are telling you that you got hosed just cuz you keep freaking out and your reaction is entertaining. It's getting a little old though, just post a picture of your truck and lets move on

No way a dealer sells this truck for almost $6000 below sticker and $3000 below invoice. The numbers just don't make sense.

OP Welcome to TW, you might want to change your attitude just a bit. Here's my feedback: I bought an '12 Bar Red Taco DC LB Sport Upgraded for $31,577 plus TT&L ($3k under sticker). Considering there are very few of this particular truck in my region and I was dead set on this particular one I feel like I got a decent deal. Especially since I locked in 1.9%. For those bs'ing some low ball numbers, good for you but reality is the Tacoma is the most sought after new truck on the market over the last few years. For the idiot saying to buy an F150, really? How about you do some research and see all the problems people are having with their f150 transmissions and EFI's. F150=$40k garage queen, broken down with no answers from the dealership. Ford is a great company but they can't seem to get the new technology down.

Logical, well thought out response. Now that's what I'm talking about.
