It'd be helpful when replying to anyone's post to edit out the images that are not relevant to your remarks.

Personally I'm not a fan of the over done HDR. I feel that your photos are way overcooked. And the one with all the seals laying on the beach is very soft.

That shot was terrible to begin with, it came out blurry so the HDR just made it worse.

Personally, I'm just exploring this style. I'm not sure how much I like it from a photographer's standpoint as apposed to an artist's standpoint. Some different post-processing techniques should yield smoother, more realistic results. Back down the micro-contrast and luminocity. I'm getting way too much noise in low lighting with this method anyway.

Most of my HDR is just there to balance out some of the over/under exposed regions of the photo. This is one of my favorite HDR shots that I took up in Mt. St. Helen's, Washington last summer. NO saturation changes made in post-processing...it was seriously this green.

I wanted to pick the brains of people on here. I have made multiple backups of all my photos and I was wondering if there is a program out there for MAC or PC that will help consolidate the photos and let me know if there are duplicates pictures if they have different file names. Kinda like the face recognition they have with iPhoto. Thanks for any input on this.

Adobe Light Room is the best photo organization program I've ever used. The greatest part is found in the plug-ins. After a little searching for you, I found one that matches your needs. Instead of using "facial recognition" type software, it looks for duplicates in EXIF data such as camera settings, date and time, etc to find duplicate images. Best part is that it is customizable so you can choose which criteria it bases the search on.

    http://www.lightroom-plugins.com/DupesIndex.php

If you have Adobe LR, download that plug-in. If you don't, I suggest investing in it. Hope this helps.

If it's the Nikkor 55-200 F/4.5, that's the lens that comes with the DSLR kits. IF new, that's a great price for a beginning zoom lens. I still use mine with my D3000. There are many better zoom lenses out there, but it's a good start to get your feet wet.

Some pics I've taken with that lens.

Yup same lens I use with my D3000. Like I said, if it's New, or in Like New condition, I'd say go for it.

It comes with photoshop. It basically is a program that lets you view your photos and then send them to PS. It also let's you see metadata and what folder the picture is in. I use it and I really like it.

    It is also really quick
