sadly all tacoma prices seem too steep, at least it's a 4x4, they're prob trying to justify the price cause all the aftermarket stuff

    Agreed.

I paid that for my truck with 34,000 miles. To the right person, you sometimes can get more for your car/truck that has been modded. Most guys on here probably wouldnt mind paying a little extra for a truck that already had an add-a-leaf and Bilstein lift with some slightly larger tires. But to most, those mods add nothing to the worth of the vehicle. I myself will never buy a modded car/truck.

22,000 is way too much. The owner just hasnt come to terms with how much money hes wasted yet.

    Too few to list.
KBB, $19K for excellent condition. They probably based it on dealer price.

I say its well worth it with the aftermarket goodies on it-I have a 06 4x4 trd sport with 72k on it and the KBB on it is around 23k-24k with no extras at all-Hell I wish something like that was around when I was in the market-Oh well-Mike C...AZ

    Bingo.

It's even worse on motorcycle forums.

Offer up a bike that's 5 years old and books for $5k, and ask $12k because they spent $7k on mods (and a new one is only $11k)

KBB is for dealers to show full retail customers. They use it as a starting point to deal. Most dealers buy and sell using NADA wholesale or Blackbook, those prices really do reflect the value but in areas with low inventory and high overhead you rarely get close to those prices. These are all guides though and can help when trying to make up ones mind on buying and on selling...

And the whole set is worth $100 on the used car market.

Seriously... mods are NEVER worth more than 25%, and usually not even that much.
    In some cases, mods detract.
If I were looking for a sportbike, an engine cage and 12:00 bar would be major negotiating items for me to run him down due to obvious abuse.

wtf. 25%? holy shit. so my 10k i put on my truck its only worth 2k more? Im so fucked. Insurance fraud here i come! lol.

Toyotas will last you a life time if you take care of them. any 4runner or pick up truck from the 83's-89's are worth lots of mula.

I think the truck is worth about 19-21k. only my opinion.
