I am going to try to tell you a joke that is pretty common among gun circles.

My buddy got a Ruger mini 14 one day and knew something was wrong with it. He wouldn't tell me what was wrong he just had me shoot it. After putting five shots on paper I went and checked my target and sure enough it was screwed up, it had all five shots under an inch. He sent that gun back to Ruger and they got it right for him. It shoots four inch groups all day and he is happy with it once again.

    Lmao

So I'm gonna have to put money into one to get it to shoot accurately....I'd be happy with 2 inch at 100 yards lol

    Bed it, etc....

I saw the struts (most likely id get an accustrut). And I'll get a wood stock f I get one, probably a ranch rifle, the. Top it with a scope, I've been thinking about a burris 1.5-4x scope If I get one.

For the price of the ruger mini 14 you can build an ar from palmetto state armory.

Fullerton pd here uses mini 14 as their rifle of choice.

I know I could build a descent AR for the same price, but I'm still Living at home and mom don't like black guns, so it needs wood furniture, which I prefer too.

I'll get a strut, bed it, muzzle brake (maybe), scope, and possibly a bipod. I'll post pictures of it if I get one

I've wanted a 1911 to round out my collection for quiet some time now, had planned on buying a Kimber (for no specific reason) but I came across a sweet deal on this:

I bought my last Kimber 6 years ago. I doubt I'll buy another one.... The best one I have is one of the first TLE II models. It's quite possibly the height of their QC.

Had it, sold it, was too bulky for me. A good way to carry a fullsize gun IWB if that's your thing. Lots of companies make cheaper versions that are the same thing now - Galco for one. Not a bad holster all around a little overkill for anything smaller than a fullsize semiauto though.

I have one of those with NM serial number as well. Excellent shooter for the price. I don't shoot it often though since my Glock 17 and 19 are much cheaper to feed.

Haha, me too. My dad was in the USMC when they made the transition from the 1911 to the M9 and he always praised up the 1911 so I said, f*ck it, let me throw one in the stable.

I've got a new pro-carry kimber and haven't had any problems. I also know two other people with new ones as well and they have had zero problems as well. In fact I know plenty people with new kimber and all with no problems, I don't know where the bad rap on kimber is coming from.

their solo carry sucks......thats all I know except they are expensive too.

Solo was designed as a carry defense weapon and it was prone to jamming and not resetting trigger. My buddy returned his and after a quick look I found this thread. I know on youtube too when I was looking for a gun there were people having problems with them too. I guess they never admitted it was a design flaw but gladly took the guns back and did some gunsmithing on them.....all while charging people shipping even though it was the design flaw not user error.
