thump in front end

    3 inch suspension lift, 33 inch bfgoodrich mud terrain tires, toytech diff drop, Procomp alloy wheels, hella fog lights, black projector headlights with 8000k HID's, blacked out tail lights, two 12 inch subs, 20% tint, pioneer head unit and speakers
    i have a horrible thump in the front end when i go over speed bumps. I cant figure it out. i have a 3 inch lift with coil spacers and original bilstien struts. could it possibly be the front shocks fully extending?

    BONE STOCK! lol
    Yes your front struts are fully extending, i would also check and make sure the upper arm isnt coming in contact with the spring

    Well, if your shocks are fully extending over a speed bump, somethin aint right, but I reckon it's a tie rod end

    whats your setup in the front? do you have longer struts?

    X2. Also check to make sure the Ball joint is not contacting the ends of the cup in which it sits.

    it may help to say that its such a hard thump that you can feel it like as if you were going over a large pot hole.

    Your topping out your shocks. This could lead to the breaking.

    ok thanks ill have to look into new struts. id really like to get coil overs but they cost way too much.

    You should really consider new springs. OME makes a nice lift spring and combined with some Bilstien 5100 shocks, the ride will be much more improved.

    so your saying that toyota makes a set of lift springs? and im looking and i cant seem to find 5100 front struts. i see rear shocks but not the front
