I have a 2009 4wd 4 cylinder. How many quarts for an oil and filter change? The manual says 6.5 quarts but some say that's to much. Thanks.

Dip sticks can be wrong. Go by what the manual says.

Hmmm, could my engine be shifting and lugging due to not enough oil in there? I put 5 Liters in and checked the stick and it said good. :|

I've been doing 5.3-5.5 liters each time still fucking scratching my head trying to read that damn dip stick, but I know what it says in my 2005 manual is wrong, there is an old thread about this I think?

I'm fairly confident I'm using enough Ive put on 30'000 miles last year with absouletly no problems, the truck runs great!

was this engine oil or some other kind of oil? and did you put it in the engine or in the gas tank? The gas tank opening is located on the driver's side of the bed.

Is it ok to save the other half of the bottle till the next oil change . It won't loose its "viscosity" will it.

Yes, you are fine to save that extra half quart.

However, opened brake fluid should be discarded.

I keep open brake fluid for use on the leaf springs for after off roading. Helps draw out the moisture, and prevent future squeaks. :)
