Anyone know what kind of spider this is?

So, Just sitting on my bed.. Then I see this fucker crawling on the wall..

Got a box and smashed him, But I dont see any carnage on the wall or the box, and cant find the body!

Just wanna know if i should be worried. Or get an exterminator

Wolf spider is what I've heard them called. Hunters, not web spinners.

 

...i see those kind around here all the time... many around half-dollar size...

those are wolf spiders, get alot of them that size in the northeast

i've always just assumed they are wolf spiders, ..but i'm not 100% sure... the big ones aren't afraid of people - i.e. they won't scurry away if you hold a large object (your foot, etc.) over them... but, i don't think they are any kind of threat...

 

No they arent dangerous, we have those in oklahoma and i actually just killed one last night. They are massive.

 

No, not a Wolf Spider, as mentioned above, Wolf Spiders don't spin webs, those things on it's butt in the picture are where that shits a web.

Is it black on the back or any markings? Hard to tell from the picture; and same for the body, is it solid brown?

Don't know what kind it is, but it's not dangerous.

There really are only 2 or 3 spiders in SoCal that are dangerous to humans, and you aren't going to encounter them walking across your wall.

It is definitely not a recluse, they have a pretty distinct violin and their butt is usually lighter if a different color. Hairless too, very smooth.
