What tires can I run?

Installing a Ultimate lift kit from toytec this weekend and was wondering what size tire I can run without having to trim the wells. Somebody told me I can run 265/70/17's was wondering if that right if thats cool than cool. Thanks before hand for the input.

 

how much is the lift? 3?
im running 285/75R16 and i just had to take the mudflaps off. and i did tho pinch weld mod.. but i dont know if its necessary, just recommended.

 

265/70/17's may look a tad small, some 275/70/17's would be a little bigger and shouldnt rub at all still. 285's would look the best but a little front trimming would likely be required.

Awsome! How is the trimming done exactly and would it help it i put on the spidertrax wheel spacers?

 

Spacers would help if you were having UCA rub problems. I think for the wheel rubbing the fenderwell, it would make it worse as the turning arc is larger.

 

+1. It depends on if you run the stock wheels, and then if not then it depends on the backspacing on the aftermarket ones. The larger tires with the stock wheels may have UCA contact issues which would need to be remedied by wheel spacers but may lead to some fender rub. If you have aftermarket wheels and get a little bit of fender rub, wheel spacers would just make it worse. If rubbing occurs and needs to be fixed, then these are some of the things that may need to be done:
-mudflaps removed
-'bump' in front part of inner fender plastic trimmed off or heated and molded

 

im running y 285/75s of 16x8 Pro comp 1079.. i forget the BS. but i dont have any UCS problems.

the only thing you would need to do would be mudflaps and it would help to do pinchweld. its really easy takes about 5 minutes to do all of it.
