got my RC Bird (ornithopter) on Friday morn.
pretty fun to fly. needs to be little to no wind, though

early this morn before winds picked up.

Picked up another pede 4x4 that came with a traxxas 3s 6400mah lipo and rpm bumper. being a welder has its perks, built the dude a window guard for his shed for a straight up trade . total cost to me was about $30 and hour and half time spent making it. This thing hauls ass with that 3s in it, im going to stay with 2s and try to preserve the vxl system tho.

 

Damn - I really want one now.

Ordered a brushless hobbies esc, stock one took a poop yesterday, but finally had a chance to run it a little bit at the track. There was a plane/heli event in the r/c complex, found out they are also running boats in a small lake next to it. Took 2 or 3 pics, supposedly someone was bringing a jet, but left before I got a chance to see it. I have never been to a plane/heli event and I'm looking forward to going to another, its quite a show seeing them doing all kind of things in the air.

 

Damn you Tower Hobbies and your Easy Pay!!!! I want this so fucking bad.

It's between this and a Wraith for my next rig.

Had another meet today at our usual spot...













My buddy's Dingo ended up taking a swim in the lake for about .2 seconds and even with a fully "waterproofed" project box it still got a little wet. Other than that and a few blown beads, it was a successful trip.

So all you traxxas fans, if you want to buy their products go to a NHRA event. You pay 100-200 dollars under what you would pay at an RC hobby shop.

 

I dont have a opinion on the wraith since iv never ran one but I love my exo



I should have a 1/8 scale crawler here tomorrow that I plan to turn into a 1/5 scale like the video I posted a page back. Also have a couple 1/24 losi trail trekkers coming this week with some trenchers for the stampede I just got.
