We didn't put any on mine because boots are too long for it. Same with my bro's first gen.

There's a plastic 'rivet' on the driver's side about halfway up where your shin would rest. After that all you have to do is pull the center console up and toward the rear of the truck at the same time. You have to pull pretty hard, it'll seem like you're about to break something, but if you ever have to do it again it'll be easier.

Why did you leave the protective boot on? I mean sure it protects from rocks and debris but how many gravel pits are you going to be screaming through?

BTW anyone got any DJM parts they want to sell me for cheap. Going lowerdzed like Ry Ry.....

Thought about taking them off but now I'd have to cut them off, got $600 into them, did'nt want to take the chance of them getting ruined, My dad has a gravel pit, lol

I am pretty sure the standard towing capacity of a 2.7 is 3500 pounds. I did a double take when I saw a reg cab towing a small bayliner the other day, which was probably a little over 2000 pounds including the trailer.

EDIT: I forgot that MT's can't handle as much though, so I dunno.

Thanks guys. Josh, I'm from Erie. North East actually, up by the lake. I've always come to TW for tips and stuff but never joined. Drove a '92 extended cab 4cyl. for a long time and have had this one for a year. I've taken lots of shit off, including the visor. Guess I should try'n sell it here... a more recent photo of the little guy:[IMG]
