    I ordered all my stuff through Baja North Motorsports in Kamloops, B.C. Great guys, super helpful, and yeah, they put the low profile elbows on. I got the axles through them too, which they got from TC.
    Good thought on the shorter strap. Where would be the best place to get that from?
    And I don't know what the 930 boot mod is. I'll do some reading:cool:

    I was looking at the inner boot and they don't look like factory tundra boots. If you got the axles from TC, they are already have the mod done.

    Straps can be bought anyware. SHDQ, kartek, poly performance. They all carry them. I'd talk to your local guys up there in BC and see what they can come up with and save the duty tax.

    Cool, cool, yeah my axles are from TC and the inner boots look bigger/longer than the stock ones in that article.
    Also, turns out my stock wheels don't fit on the front any more. The backspacing is about 5" I think and they rub on the spindle gussets:rolleyes:
    But whatever, I'll be getting new ones anyway.
    My rear axle is now sitting and waiting...

    Yeah, the TC axles come complete with this mod already done.

    4"-4.5" Backspacing is usually ideal for aftermarket wheels:thumbsup:

    Rear axle is placed. Theres still a lot of work to do on it, but its more motivating when its on the truck.

    I need some input on wheels and tires. I want to run 33" tires, which seems to be the normal size for this stuff, but I dont know what width I can get away with. I was hoping for 285 rather than 265 width, but I know some guys were saying that 285's were harder to pull. I have the 3.4L and 4.10 gears. Thoughts? And 4" backspacing seems to be the desired number on wheels?

    285/75/16 is probably the most common size people run on 1st gens. that's the size i'm running. don't get 265's... they'll be way too small.

    With 4:10 Gears I don't think you'll have an issue with 285, since stock gears are 3:73 for V6 (I'm pretty sure anyways).

    Yes, 4" Backspacing on an 8" wide rim (close to 0 Offset) is typically Ideal.

    PS, don't forget to gusset those Shackles :cool:

    Cool, thats what I was hoping for:)
    I was planning on getting wheels and tires at the end of the build but my stock ones rub on my spindle gussets because I have 5" bs on my stock wheels. I just dont want to order wheels and have them still rub with the wider tires:confused:
