I fell asleep and drove into a ditch a couple of weeks ago. Woke up 20 feet from a giant street highway sign and swerved. I drove about 30 feet off road asleep at about 50 mph. Scariest experience of my life. Luckily my truck wasn't damaged and my underwear was clean.

I've done that before. My dad made me drive to granbury when I was 15 after I had stayed up all night. I was half asleep the whole way there and closed my eyes a few times. Not necessarily the best first driving experience.

Didn't know about it, but if I don't have any plans then I'm sure I would stop by.
Unrelated question were you at Abuelos Friday about 6:30?:spy:

Well I saw your truck in the parking lot and thought that has to be a TW member. I went to the golf shop to get my friend a birthday gift. I have to say your truck looks even better in person.

    Thanks

And if you haven't tried the Wine Rack, that place is great. They have about 150 different beers.

Thought I would share my experience with the ford dealer here in Midland with y'all. I first want to say I'm not putting down ford or this dealership just a crappy salesmen. So this pat Saturday my buddy and I didn't have much to do, and since I'm planning on getting a new truck in October and he is having major problems with his 09 silverado and the warranty is almost up we decided to go look at new trucks. So I drive out to the local ford dealership because I wanted to check out the new f150 to see if I would even be interested. So we walk the lot and I find the one I am interested in checking out its an fx4 white with a 5.0, we walk back to the dealership to get someone to show is the truck. As we walk in we are greated by this kid who looks like he just got out of high school, his shirts untucked, his pants are down and his underwear is hanging out. I try not to judge people on their appearance but if your trying to sell someone a $40k truck I would think that you would try to look professional. Anyways he takes on a golf cart out to the truck and on the way he starts asking me questions, which I expected, so I tell him that I was just looking at this point and that I has just graduated this past may so I wanted to get a new truck in the near future. The next thing out of his mouth is " so you want to get a new truck before you graduate?" at first I thought maybe I explained something wrong so I said no I just graduated this past may. It took him about 20 seconds and then he either figured it out or decided to let it go. Meanwhile my friend who's on the back of the cart is just laughing. So we get out there and I have to point the fx4 out to him because I guess he doesn't know what they look like. So I start looking at it meanwhile he gets me the key and I get in and start checking it out, and at this time I guess he figured out that I graduated so he asks where and I tell him Texas A&M and he then has the ignorance to asks why the hell would you go there? Now I understand everyone has there favorite school but again when your trying to sell a $40k truck why would you say that? So I take a deep breath and say because I love A&M and they have an excellent engineering program. Then he says " oh well at least it's not because of football." now on one hand why would you pick a school to attend based on the football program and on the other why would you piss off your customer? Anyways during all of this my buddy is just off to the side shaking his head laughing because he knows I'm pissed. So then he tells me to pull it out, which I do, I was assuming he was finally going to tell me all about the truck and what it had compared to the competition, but I was wrong. He has it pulled out so that he could show us that you could walk through the back seat because of all the room. That was the only thing he told me about the truck. So at that point I'm trying to politely leave because I wasn't interested in buying it after seeing it up close and I wasn't interested in buying anything from him. So at that point he asks me what I was currently driving and I said a 98 Tacoma he response by telling me this truck is better in every way. I told him I disagreed and he then informed that my truck was worth nothing and that I wouldn't want to keep driving it! So I told that I would much rather drive it then that POS and that would drive it forever before dealing with him. That was pretty much the end of our conversation, but what I can't figure out is how does that kid have a job! Anyways just wanted to share.

He has a job because everyone who was working there quit and went to work in the oilfield for 3 times the pay. That's the problem with basically everywhere you go in this town. The crew that installed my direcTV was in from El Paso because all the Midland guys quit. The guy who installed my internet drove from Lubbock every day. That's just how it is here....

Nothing really bad, just couldn't believe he was the one trying to sell me a truck not the other way around. Maybe it's just me and maybe because I have family that owns a dealership, but I just thought his actions were way out of the ordinary.

Oh and I forgot to mention I was wearing an A&M shirt so obviously he had no observation skills
