Well fuck! Jeepers jamboree went up the rubicon this weekend and apperently after 40-50 jeeps got past Cadillac hill one of the jeeps rolled and caught fire. Which in turn caught the forest on fire. As of now I'm not sure if it's out or not but FUCK I hope this doesn't jeopardize the trail being closed. I know that they've been wanting a reason to close it hope this isn't it.

I was told that the tahoe entrance re-opened at 7am today and the fire is virtually contained but don't quote me on that. Always check with the station first.

I also read of one fatality during the accident. Its all very sad but alchohol wasn't involved so i doubt it'll get closed.

This, along with an R6 parked next to my truck, was the best part of getting groceries after work today.

Nvm. It won't let me post the picture.

anything that lets me drive my truck in the dirt is exciting to me, nothing but cement and rules around here.

Also syphoning gas out of my sisters car before the wreckers come get it :D

    Stupid question of the day:

    2007 Tacoma SR5 automatic.

How do you put it in 4hi or 4lo? In other words, it should be automatic right? With the switch on the dash right? Or did some come with manual and it's located elsewhere?

My friend was soooooo excited and giddy about her new used truck (she's never had a truck before), and that she can take it safely in the snow with the 4WD it has, which is what her sales man told her. Hers did not have a switch where mine is.

4hi should be rolling. Maybe less than 35-40 to engage/disengage. 4lo is usually vehicle stopped, transmission in neutral then shift to 4lo. To disengage, stop. Transmission in neutral then shift.

Thanks Ian. I guess I worded the question wrong. It is a switch on the dash like mine and yours (we have the same year). We can't find her switch. Methinks 5 lug/6 lug has something to do with it?

    Here's our trucks parked together.

Aww mannn, I ThOUGHT SO!! She was told it was 4wd, that she can take it to the snow without chains and she would be safe!! I asked her if she's sure, did he tell you that? And she said that was the part that she liked most about it. That she can go to the snow and not use chains.

She also kept commenting that mine is higher (how come yours is higher??) than hers yet mine is stock height. And she was told it's a 6 cyl. I hope at least it's 6 cyl. She was also told that there is a special bed added in to keep it from scratching. It's the same composite bed that comes with 2nd gen....

:( It's her first truck. I think someone took advantage of her. :(

Truck on the left is a 5-lugger. They ONLY come in 2wd. Prerunners and 4wd are 6-luggers.

Edit: The 5-luggers do come in a v6.
