    Anyone run 285/70/17 on stock rims with a Toytec ultimate ?

    Found a good deal on a set installed and need new tires, I suspect I will have some slight rubbing but the only off road I do is dirt roads to get to fishing holes...

    Ya.....you will prob need some spacers too and do some minimal trimming possibly.

    X2. Most likely remove your front mud guards and the trimming you can do with a dremel.

    Your gonna have to get different wheels with a different offset and backspacing if you dont want to use wheel spacers for your stock wheels.

    Arent hubcentric spacers ok to use without too much risk of damage? I see lots of people use them on here with stockers and lift. I was planning on it as I just ordered my 5100s and have 885s. I cant fathom dropping over a G for wheels and tires at once. I was hoping to run the same tire.

    ya you re good on those for sure....I think guys run 275/70/17 no probs too

    285s is where the trimming starts

    There are a ton of people on here that run SpiderTrax spacers and never had any issues with them.

    yeah, running 265 now and the 285 adds another inch, looking it seems I have room for a 1/2 inch on each side...might have to have them mount one for a test... don't want to buy new rims ....
