IPOD question

Is there a way to hardwire an ipod to my factory truck stereo. I hare the cig. lighter attachments! I have an 07'

 

USA spec PA-12toy.

Plugs into the cd changer port that has been in the back of all 95 and up Toyota factory radios. It will charge the Ipod, as well as let you controll it through your head unit like you would a CD. Also lets you use the steering wheel controls if your truck is so equipped. It's about $140.00.

There are other devices that do roughly the same thing, one called a Metra, I think, and one called an Ipod-2-car. Though I am not familiar with the prices or specs on them, but I know that there are members on this forum who are using them as well.

You'd do better to try using the search function within the audio and video section for more detailed information.

 

Yes, I use the Metra. It is only $50 but it doesn't have alot of the features of the USA-Spec. Search for Metra...you should find plenty of info already available in the Audio forum.

Works great and does exactly what you are asking for...
I got it from ebay for like 129 + shipping... The install is simple and quick.

I vote for the USA Spec PA12-TOY. You don't really understand (or believe in my case!) how easy it really is to operate until you install and use one.

 

I installed a VAIS Technology Ipod interface. I also have a 07 Taco. The VAIS model SL2I also allows readout of song being played which shows on radio's LCD display. Their units are designed for Toyotas and Lexus.
