true, true, but not everyone has aftermarket wheels, like i said before, the quality of any after market wheel is questionable, and i bet if he had the OEM wheels on there he would have been good lol

to many to list, check the build thread
is it just me or In that last picture, it sure looks like it says "FRONT USE ONLY" on the back of that wheel? Hope everything works out for you man.

Dealer screwed up my TRD OR wheels when i took my truck in for the first service, they made it right and replaced all four of my wheels, never went back to that dealer again.

    On going
start a case with the BBB as soon as they contact the dealer they will be glad to help you.I know this because a local dealer broke my after market wheel while in for repair and they replaced it after the BBB ask they to explain why there was a problem fixing something they broke!

It says "OFFROAD USE ONLY", which doesn't help the OP's case.

Rim says offroad use only, not front only. [IMG]
    Dealer didn't do this, IMO
I could be wrong, hard to tell in that pic, but it looks like that rim calls for
lug nuts with flat washers..... if so, whoever put it on originally, used the
stock tapered lug nuts. They would have jammed in tight enough not to
wobble for a while, but after you loosen / remove them, it's just gonna be
    worse.
Tech SHOULD have noticed this, but was probably rushing. Doubt that
he misplaced all 20 nuts, and went and got replacements.
My bet is that if you get the correct nuts with the washers, you can
still use these rims with no problems... the washers keep them centered.

^Most aftermarket wheels use tapered lug nuts. OP has a TRD Sport, which comes stock with flat washers. No way the stock lugnuts with captive washers would've fit.

Stop trying to convince yourself that you got a good deal. You still got hosed with employee discount and TPMS.

Those baja wheels aren't even forged. You could have gotten forged wheels from Centerline that are stronger and lighter for less.

hey guys thanks for all the comments.

So to clear a couple of things up,

I had the wheels installed at discount tires and wheels

I did purchase special bolts for them but im guessing when the tech grabbed the bolt key he might of grabbed the wrong nut from the box i had and then he put the right ones on noticing something was wrong.

That is the only wheel that is messed up.

another thing im thinking is that they forgot to put the spacer dropped it and drove it and noticed something was wrong then they put it on.

But honestly i dont know what happened and hopefully they can fix it.

I am going to talk to the main manager of that toyota next month on the 8th so hopefully he isn't as rude as the other guy. I will keep you guys updated
I honestly regret not recording him.

    Thanks.:D

Yes i think he was rushing my truck was the last one to get serviced and it was 10min overtime for them so thats what im guessing,,

If all comes to worse i might try to use them and put that wheel in the rear and see how it does but i would much rather want the dealer to own up to there mitake.

Yeah, wait even longer. That will help. NOT. You need to keep on this shit until it is resolved. Squeaky wheel gets a fixin'... no pun intended. Be the annoying gnat that they want to shoo away, but don't give in until they replace your rim. I'd have them check the other 3 while they're at it.

Something smells fishy. Minus the OP sounding like hes teenage girl who didn't get the phone she wanted(no offence to anyone personal experience).

Also if you had spacers on they wouldn't of taken them off and rotated them with the tires?
I agree with the quality of the rim it doesn't look the finest.

Also if its taken this long your shit out of luck any how should of taken it up the next day with the dealer and not leave until an arrangement was made, again, personal experience with something much more major than a cheap wheel.

Plus my dealer request special permission to work on anything aftermarket and if it requires a manual you have to give it to them and if its not something they sell they don't cover it if it gets damaged for obvious reasons. They won't even touch it most of the times ever since I got my aftermarket head unit they don't even turn it on and listen to the radio like they used to do when they were doing a service or trying to find the damned windshield noise.

My $0.02 is not to let them do anything that require special instructions and if so tell them in depth.

what?? im just telling you how it is, i went to school to learn how toyota oporates, i took their programs.. and like i said before, suing isnt going to get you anywhere, i love your mentality  ... suing doesnt fix everything dude, you need to understand how stuff operates and inject some logic in your thinking and listen, and now i can finally see why some service managers want to kill themselves, because of people who think like you do, and if he was that concerned about his wheels then i believe he would rotate his tires himself, like i do, because im concerned about the condition of my wheels and lugs and studs, every time i rotate, i do it all by hand, no air tools and i hand torque the lugs with a torque wrench... and even if i go to get tires done in the shop i still bring a torque wrench and request the lugs be removed and installed by hand and hand torqued and by rights he should have also mentioned to the service writer about his aftermarket wheels, spacers, and lugs, just to make it clear to them on the repair order so its documented and that the tech. was aware of it, so you cover your ass and dont get your property fucked up, so dont get pissy at me for speaking the truth. I was only trying to help... but i guess i didnt :notsure: good luck with the issue OP, i do honestly hope it gets resolved peacefully

you were madd when u considered my post to be "the biggest load of BS" im telling you right now, toyota is not liable for non OEM equipment that is put on the vehicle, he put those aftermarket items on his truck AT HIS OWN RISK. i understand that a wheel spacer, lugs etc is still something that is almost common sense to you and me but toyota techs are trained and taught and told certain things, and some obviously know more than others and granted, the "techs" in the express section of the shop know next to nothing except how to pull a drain plug out, and i do understand the safety risk, but like i said before... he put those aftermarket wheels along with the other aftermarket items on at his own risk, maybe they should have done more research before making a final purchase and at least made it known those parts were being used to the service writer at least, if this was done to an OEM wheel, id agree with you 100%, but its non OEM. And yes, take it and move on is what u have to do, if the rest of the world chose to make a big stink out of it like you, the earth would stop moving. you dont fix a problem by creating more issues.. you just, work with what you got, and do what you can with that.

But I am sure they are the same lug nuts that were on there when OP dropped his truck off.

I would be talking to whoever sold and installed the wheels to begin with. But yeah, the dealer's technician should have caught that.

I took my 11 TE 4 runner in about three months ago with the two passenger side stock TE rims peeling clear coat had to wait on a Toyota rep to look at them before they would do warranty work. So dude in a suit comes out says sorry for the problem and of course we will replace them. Two weeks later I go back the deuce mounting scratched the f'ing hell out of both of them around the lip! Manger goes guys under pressure lots to do today what can I do about it! I said what your going to do is get me two more GD rims and replace the two your guy just messed up. He says those rims cost 900 dollars a piece! I said the 4runner cost 41k needless to say new rims mounted by a tech knew what he was doing! Who knows if the rims cost that much but like you said they were new they screwed up they need to replace them. My wife's an attorney PM me we will get you a letter that will get this BS taken care of! Good luck hope you get it resolved.

because under the 5K service, it includes an oil change, tire rotation and multi-point inspection, they are all performed unless you (the costumer) refuse one or more services.
