Just unbolt the driveshafts, throw 'em in the bed, unlock the hubs, and flat tow that bitch.

They're all in there along the connecting roads. 5 to 10 mins from any given trail.

You're a genious, I need to make one of these. Just wonder if the Taco would be up to the challenge.

You might even be able to do it just with the tranny in neutral...I'm not up to speed on how 82 manny trannies lubricate...maybe time to do a little digging on the dos/don'ts of flat towing 'em.

I think the Taco could get 'er done, s'long as you take your time in the slow-lane on the Interstate.

*edit* Yes rear d/s removal is necessary or the t-case will apparently blow up.

And no interstate for me, just back country roads. :D

I'd pull both DS's anyway. Let the diffs do the spinning, there's no mystery to how they handle it :p If the transmission's engaged, even if it lubricates while off, flat tow miles still count as miles. Might as well save the mileage right?

As long as I make it down that's what I'll be doing. Either in a tent or with the camper.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...

ehh...fucka you, BGR. If we want to go this route, WE ALL can go to the site and reserve our own spaces in the same area. my pick was 23-35 due to being a lil more isolated and the shower being close.

yates place is supposed to be no alcohol as well, but it gets done. the reason i like yates place is less ranger intervention. not sure how much they'll be around that campground, but they are more likely to be there.
    Facilities:

The campground has two loops of non-electric sites, some of which lie on the shore. Each site is near drinking water and is equipped with a table, grill, lantern post, campfire ring and tent pad. Flush toilets and showers are located in both loops. No dump station is available.
