I have been in touch with this seller( all pm) and caught an immediate odd vibe due to his lack of knowledge of what he was selling. I asked numerous questions, and of course tried to be reasonable with negations.
I was met alongside my questions, repeatedly! No answers even to the basic questions. I wanted to know fittment for my application and his opinion on these wheels as to quality.
He always replied with no questions replied. I asked 5 just for fact and compatibity.
He won't sell these near price from a reputable dealer. Also been with TW a short while.
He does not give 2 s!':s about selling his rims or his Kayak, which belongs in another forum.
I was going to buy all 3 pairs and asked for some credence, and he replied " Just ask the fella who bought my TRD supercharger"! I am sure this guy who bought it is all good.
The seller wanted to have nothing to do with the deal, changed ship rates and insulted me when I asked simple questions.
Was going to buy all 3 sets of rims, however he decided he was too busy to answer some bare questions. Online purchases VIA credit card are risky and wanted reassurance.
This seller, will not budge a cent! He also changed his attitude while trying to throw in KAYAKS into his potential sale. Maybe belongs in the newspaper or CL!
Just looking out for my fellow TW friends, and don't want anyone to get screwed! Rims look great in the pics! However his personality and prices are out of line!
I only asked for some reassurance with a disclosure of my CC#! this guy does not haggle but a few pennies! Which he is entitled to. I went to a solid reputable company and bought one set. And about $100 shipped!
If he was not so arrogant and misleading and too lazy to give ship quotes, I suggested he should b like everyone else.
He still has the wheels and claims "He won't sell to me" which I am happy.
He is a man who believes that this is mainly a classified add! Not a KAYAK forum!
Lastly, I am not treading on his post and have no intention to buy.
I am almost sending a "buyer Beware"! I have purchased 50plus items off this AWESOME SITE and I just don't want anyone to be scammed!
He has one reference who is well seeded, however, he could care less to give me the time of day! All in all, I am not smearing this dude, but trying to convey to this forum some due caution. (The PM's would sum things up)!
Someone who doesn't want to sell what he has for sale!!!
Not looking for reports of legitimacy. I have seen the FISHY smelling deal he tried to make)!
just buyer beware. Not looking to get in trouble with the moderators! However feel the need for TW buyers to take action.
Again, I bought the same wheels for slot less shipped.
Regards! I'm not stomping on Taquoma's deal but I smelled fish!

Let's be real here fellas & ladies....

Prices are listed, phone number is listed....most items have part numbers listed.
Theres a huge website that most people use called "Google" Its a good place to start if you have to verify info with a third party(s)

Otherwise there is the phone number to call...

I dont have the patience to hold hands...If there is something you cant find or verify on your own and/or you need another picture... feel free to ask, but please dont ask obvious and redundant questions...

You think you found a better price elsewhere?
Well prove it, if its an apples to apples comparision I'll try to beat it or at least match it...But dont be stupid and show me wheels that are 5 years old and say their price is cheaper...
If I can beat the price I will, if I can't I can't end of story.

These are the only tacoma/FJ/Tundra items I have...like it says they are take-offs or photoshoot only items...in some cases neither! Brand new!

The Alcoa wheels appear to have the small 78 mm center bore meant for GM 1/2 tons. Bolt pattern on Toyotas is the same 6x5.5, but the Toyota center bore is 106 mm. Compare the bore size against the Method wheels in the other picture - the difference is pretty apparent.

I'll have to take some closer photos ...although I personally saw the alcoas on a tacoma...so I know they fit...although doesnt discount that you may be onto something with the center hub size..

The 179141CC is the Alcoa part number for the Toyota Adventure series wheel with the clearcoat finish. That wheel has the 60 degree conical bolt holes.

I am going off memory because it has been quite a few years since I have seen the wheels but I think Alcoa only milled out the backside of the hub bore and not straight through.

I can look up the other part number if you want, it should be rolled stamped on the backside and start with 179.

Pretty awesome wheels that weigh only 31 pounds each.
