I saw it at the hobby shop and I just couldn't resist getting it because I've never seen a Road Runner kit before. I'm excited to get this thing going. :D

I'm in the same boat man, a 3 year old boy and a 1 year old girl. I've got a box of about 20 models in the basement and I can never find the time to start one. I'm honestly thinking of selling them and all my modeling tools and detailing parts because I just don't have the time anymore.

I also have a 3 yr old boy and 1 yr girl. I have about 70 or so models in my basement, but have sold a lot on ebay just because I don't have the time. I want to get back into it - and it would be nice if my son happens to want to join me. I have a big 1/350 all resin kit of my Dad's ship when he was in the Navy - I plan on starting this as soon as we get to our next duty station... I have too much stuff to sell off - but will thin out my stash of planes (and some tanks)/decals/aftermarket stuff. If you know of anyone who wants to buy some stuff, let me know!

That is a great idea, never seen that before, much easyer than doing it after the painting the primary color

I like the pre-shading method, but really can't get it to work right half the time. My main method is just painting the primary color (e.g., olive drab) and then lightening it a bit with white or yellow (yellow in the case of OD) and hitting the center of the panels... I may try the dot filter method on aircraft, but so far have only used that on armor...

Really nice job on the Corsair.

You should check out the forums on Aircraft Resource Center here:

    http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php

Lots of good plastic model stuff on there. They also have a classified section if you want to sell stuff. My username on there is also "2qwik4u".
