Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
wondering b/c i developed a vibe on my 8 hour trip home this weekend. cant tell if it's front end or mid truck. feels/sounds like an exhaust drone, but independent of the RPMs. doesnt go away when in 4hi, so not the front diff bearing and doesnt go away when turning, so i dont think it's the wheel bearings. havent been up under the truck to check b/c of work and rain, but i would be left with u-jounts and carrier bearing. i've greased my u-joints every 5k w/ the oil change, so i doubt that's it, but it's always a possibility.

Sounds exactly like the vibe I feel , I've eliminated every other cause I can think of , went under the truck to mess around with the CB drop a while back and discovered the crack . Water has to have been getting in there , and with it rust , and ice in winter , and more rust

If you raise enough h*ll ... and do it nicely ... there is a good chance that they will take care of it ... depends on several things though.

However ... IF ... you bought this policy from Fidelity recently ... you may be able to get your money back and pay for the repairs from those funds. Hard to know with the limited info that you have given.

Good luck and keep us posted on what happens .... people all over the world read this TW Site ... and from the various companies involved too.

There are several ways to ... "skin this cat" ... just do it wisely & legally ... :D

The dealership is covering the cost. Not fidelity

This is not good news for you as the dealer probably wrapped that cost (Fidelity Warranty) into the final sales agreement.

That policy from Fidelity is not free and you may still get that money back from the dealer ... especially IF the warranty was itemized and financed in the deal.

You can get this resolved ... just keep the pressure on them ... and do it wisely.

There certainly should be something like this. I would check the FL consumer laws for sure. Go back to where you bought it and have them make it right. If they won't, bump it up to Toyota regional. This seems a clearcut case of misrepresentation on the part of the dealer that sold it to you.
