well I guess you can run the stock links for a while right? If you drive down here I'll be happy to weld them for free. Or cloudy could take care of it for you.

Choice does have some. It is a special order only though.

    See above......

Some HREW in .250 wall would work just fine for you.

Heims would be a good idea. It would allow each end to twist and not bind like bushings can do alot of the time.

If you get good quality heims you should be good. It is the Johnny joints that need to be fully rebuilt periodically. Check out www.ruffstuff.com for the heims. they come with the weld in bung for the threaded end and they also sell DOM and HREW tubing by the foot. Call them and they would be able to make you a full kit just based off the measurements of your old ones.

I can do that for you no sweat. :-D

Heims would increase my travel though, and I dont want that. I am already looking at a set of limiting straps for the rear. Also I hear Heims are noisy, that is the last thing I want.

Anything longer and the rear springs come loose and fall out.. they are held in by the weight of the truck.

do they make longer springs that won't lift you any? How to 4 runners get more flex out of the rear?

Longer springs, yes. That wont lift it? no.

I had 8 wraps from a land cruiser before, those were way longer, but I got like 4.5" out of them..

all I want is decent travel at the height I'm at with the shocks I have with links that can handle it and not be noisy and expensive and need maintenance.

Ah I see. I don't blame you, the tacoma/3rd gen 4runner is a very expensive platform to build into a hardcore rig.

I'd go for an older pickup or 1st gen 4runner if I was actually into hardcore rock crawling.

I dont know if they make Spring "Cones" for the 4runner. I had them in my Land rover and I had crazy flex in the back... Check this out...

yeah links flex way better than leafs, the 4runners just have that cone shaped rubber bump stop as far as I know.

Yeah that land rover was all custom built up in colorado by a place called ROCKWARE. They do toyota stuff too I think. The whole susp. set up was changed for that disco. When I got my second Landrover and saw the stock set up, I was shock how much stuff they changed! That thing had crazy flex out back and jack shit up front! If it wasnt so damn slow I would have kept it, but it was a LR and they do like to break too.
