He is at Hershey park with the family. I think he likes them. He had them folded in for most of the trail running.

Leaving Hershy Park as we speak. The towing mirrors were fine. No need to extend them for my little pop up trailer. I used the convex to easily back the trailer in. Our plan is to replace the pop up with a travel trailer. For that and the enclosed snowmobile trailer these things will be great!

Hey guys and any girls that may be present.

I am the Product Manager for ProEFX Custom Accessories that was responsible for the design of the mirrors. I notice there are a few questions that some have that I will answer below.

2012 (i think 2011 as well) mirrors are totally plug and play, there is no need to get into the harness to source turn signal voltage

The mirrors are completely bolt on, it takes me less than 15 minutes to bolt the mirrors to the truck. If I was placing these on 2012 models installation could be done on a smoke break. Now most of you out there have torn apart your Tacoma, as I have as well. I have owned 3 of them so working on taking the door panels on and off is very simple.

For models without turn signals it takes gaining access to the red and brown power leads for the turn signal voltage. Yes, this takes a little more time since it requires sending wires through the a pillar into the door. But as said above most of us work on our trucks, it is a pretty simple task, or someone that is not as inclined may have a friend that is.
Rob commented that it took me a couple hours to wire in and find the voltage and mount the mirrors, that is conservative. Since I had to find voltage, take pictures, and it was 100 degrees out it took me a little longer. I'd say an hr to hr-1/2. THere will be an install manual included so you can find these wires in less time and the tricks that I used to make the install easier.....like remove the rubber boot from the a pillar and the door for ease of fishing wires.

You are all right, yes they are Dodge towing mirrors from 2002-2008 models. We were able to take the head from this model and incorporate the mounting surface and curve the surrport towards the side of the truck. This gives the mirror a useful stance in flip up or flip down mode without having to look like the truck has wings. If we kept at same angle the truck would look aweful. So those that are asking for measurements from base to end of mirror keep that in mind.

The passenger side mirror will have a non convex main mirror and will have the convex corner mirror. If we take and convex both mirrors it really raises hell with your eyes.

All mirrors will come heated optioned. There is really not that much in the line of cost differences to make some heated strips that glue onto the back side of the glass. So do not fear that the price will be so much more if they are heated. We are exploring the options of including all switchs and hardware versus making the mirrors and letting the end user obtain all the needed components to make them heated. I'd say cost savings either way would be +/- $10.00

Many designs will be available. Chrome will be an option as well as black. As for paint to match option this requires another tooling which will have the surface smooth. This is additonal cost which will be required. The texture of the mirror head in black is quite smooth which I would PTM with proper adhesion promoter. Many nissan cars, kia, and honda with hyundai use this method to cover multiple trim levels.

I have decided after reading this thread we will have a manual option textured without turn, and also a power option without turn signal with power. So there will be multiple trim levels available for those that are looking for the lesser optioned mirrors to suit your needs.

Quality. Highest quality. I have toured this facility to see not only our mirrors being created here but also Koolvue, Ford, and GM. Yes you read right.

Now the $1,000,000.00 answer to the questions everyone is asking right??? :D

    Prices

Now when you replace your wheels on your truck you do not clip on new wheels to make them better, nor do you like to put hub caps that are chrome on them if you like the chrome option. You go out and spend a grand or better to get the look and the functionality of the accessory you need to make the truck perform and look the way you want.

The point I am making is you can have an alternative clip on set for 75-100$ that vibrates, looks hokey but gets the job done, at the end of the day if it's PTM application scratches the paint up. Or spend some money and invest in the look and functionality that you really want. I tow all the time with my tundra. So I speak from experience, that nothing is more comfortable than being able to view the 8,000 lb lead behind me and see when backing up.

    prices

If you opt for the chrome power heated turn option I am "estimating" a "good guy" price that Rob will offer for ONLY Tacoma World members at $399.00 ;)

This would be the highest optioned mirror with the highest cost due to the tooling and chroming process and components needed

    other trims below

Heated electric and textured and turn $299.00
    Manual textured turn $229.00
    Manual textured w/o turn $209.00

Keep patient we will have them for you soon at any branch closest to you. Get ahold of rob for details, I have our entire towing mirror line made up of 25 or better applications spread across the entire USA.

A few pics below when I installed on Rob's truck and a 2012 DC off the truck from a dealer.

    Cheers

    Toby

Well there you go. Pricing is in! Thanks Toby!

As far as the measurement question. Straight from the glass, drivers side to outer most of mirror while extended is 20". Passenger side is 18". The mirror's themselves are the same length, the difference is the angle.

This would have been great back in march. I ended up doing the dodge mirror conversion. 200 for the mirror set and around 50 for the heated mirror timer and switch. I also had to make the adapter plate for the bolts and wire from scratch using another thread. I would have opted for a plug and play but I am about self mods. Anyways I pull a 27' TT and these style are life savers.

On a side note will the heated mirrors come with the heated mirror timer or just a switch?

They are talking about trying to get a timed switch just like the highlander switch. They even had me get them the OEM part # so they could find out who makes the switch for Toyota to try and source it.
