5100 with AAL in rear pics?

I have 5100 all around with the 5100 raised to the max. That's 2.5 inches, i think. (correct me if i'm wrong) And TSB in rear.

The truck is leveled out now,but i think i prefer the back a little higher. Is it just me or you like the back a little higher? Especially when i tow or haul something, it looks funny, front is sitting so much higher, looks wierd to me.

Well, i'm thinking instead of lowering the front shocks down, should i just AAL in the rear?

Anyone have a picture with 5100 raised all the way, with 1.5 inch AAL and TSB in rear? I want to see how it looks like.

I saw the sticky thread on adding the AAL , just curious if you did yours yourself?
Also, the front raised up all the way for the 5100's is 2.5 inches right?

 

Yea, i thought about that too but the the time spent and trouble of doing that rather just AAL. IMO.

What do you think alot of people do ? lower it back to 1.75 or a lot of people throw in AAL?

Okay folks....I cannot receive the TSB due to the mileage on my recently purchased truck. 46,000 miles. I had about 200 lbs in the bed and towing a 5x8 trailer with motorcycles in it. It was sagging like hell and it really pissed me off. Time for a change. I'm thinking about getting the 5100's along with the Toytec AAL for the non-TSB trucks. From reading a lot of posts on the suspensions here, it sounds like the TSB is good for about a 1 inch lift. The Toytec AAL states a 2 inch lift. If I get both the 5100' and the AAL, will adjusting the front 5100's to the 2.5 inch setting level the truck out? Sounds like common sense to me, but I could be wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Something will be done to fix the sag.

 

I have the stock rear springs (no tsb) and 5100s set at 1.75 in the front. My truck sits perfectly level now (I like it). But, the second I put anything in the rear or tow anything the rear sags really bad.

So, I am about to install a 1.5" AAL from wheelers. I know this will raise rear a little, but it will help when hauling a load.

 

Thanks, I think it would be a pretty good asumption that if I get the 5100's and the Toytec AAL, the better position of the front shocks would be 2.5 then. I see that you're in Pacoima. I'll be there in about three weeks at HR Textron.

 

Thanks! I had my AAL installed when I got my tires and rims all put on. The 5100s raised my front about 2.5 inches.

The AAL raised it prob a good 1.5" and the TSB about 2". It sets level though and I love it

 

I also purchased my truck used. The original owner say he did have the TSB done. How do you check if it was done? both side of the leaf pack have 4 pack now instead of 3 pack right? Just making sure.

 

Mine's used & beyond the TSB mileage. Yes, check for 4 leafs if TSB was done. I'm going with 5100s all around set to 2.5 up front with the Toytec non TSB AAL 1.5 out back. My question is...should I use the factory tokico springs up front or disassemble the TRD Bilsteins I have & use those springs or are they the same?

 

That sucks you aren't happy; I actually like the nose high lift. TRUE prerunners (2wd) are designed that way to help with weight balance; the more weight you having towards the rear the better traction you get offroad. Maybe it's a so cal thing but tons of trucks out here are nose high. Contrary to popular belief it does perform a function.
