Rear shocks

I am going to buy new rear shocks. Any advice? I have 2" pro comp AAL.

 

Bilstein 5100's ...no contest.

They are designed specifically for the Tacoma (first gen) and even have unequal length left and right sides.

with the 2" aal.....im gonna say bilstein 5125's or 5150's.

 

I just ordered 5100's for my rear, I got a 2" AAL and a 1" block. Would I have been better off with 5125's? If so, why?
Travel reasons?

 

yeah...the 5125's have more travel than the 5100's do.

 

oh, ok. Well then I think I will be fine! since I dont do much off roading..

 

I decided to go with the skyjacker 8027 nitro shocks, I dont do much off-road so these should be okay. Thanks for the advice anyway.

 

I just put Bilstein 5100s on the back of my pickup, and the ride difference is very noticeable, in spite of the fact I was replacing the stock Bilsteins that came on my TRD. The 5100s should handle lift up to 3", according to Wheeler's. I figure that if I end up needing more travel, I'll go with a U-bolt reversal kit that mounts the shock on top of the axle and allows a couple more inches of shock travel.
